Hi,
i have lived a life of neglect, never being complimented and when I was it was on 'doing dishes, thanks" or any of a million stupid things I dont care about, but it is like this cartoon I saw, the boy masters levitation and then loses the moment and it is then that the others turn around to see him sitting their very grounded. MY moments of glory, go unnoticed, uncelebrated. ![]() Sandworm

these are some of the things I learned to do to help my self-esteem.
Letting go. >>> The 24 Happy discoveries: The insight about rules: When you follow a rule and sometimes it does not give the results you want, do not switch the good rule out, but rather seek to polish and improve the rule so that it works more frequently. Don’t seek to make a rule to work near-perfect or at a 100 %, for life is unpredictable by nature. Accept the approximations rules work in. The rule of all rules to obey, even if you choose to ignore all rules but only ~this~ one. Wherever you go, make it the place to be. Whatever you do, make it the thing to be doing. Be in Joy and be cool everywhere and with everyone. ===.

this is how I learned to reset my mental
barometer so i am on even 'keel' >> All the motivational pep talk in the world is not going to help someone until they get their arrogance and resistance out of the way. This is what is meant by the phrase, “Getting out of your own way.” The steps to doing this are simple to say, but not so easy to do. STEP ONE Resolve the head trouble-This has already been dealt with some, in step two through+ STEP TWO Overcoming innate ability to filter out compliments. Never pass up a compliment, these are rare gifts in life. Either compliments from others or yourself. When someone says you can't do it; stretch yourself beyond the limits of the possible. Every great accomplishment was at one time thought impossible. STEP THREE Programming your self-talk that there are no mistakes; it is all part of the learning process. Guilt is a poison to life. Living life is trial and error. Learn to take the attitude that “Hey, this is just an experiment!'. Don't take it personally. Example: Lincoln. Thomas Edison. Louis Pasteur. STEP FOUR There are no moral cowards or successful ones either. Courage, focused effort, what is called Determination. STEP FIVE Patience, patience, patience; Life is a numbers game. Boxers don't knock the foe out with the first punch; it is not the first swing of the bat that puts the ball out of the park. And you can't lose them all. STEP SIX There can be no effect, or result in one's life without making an effort or a cause. Doing nothing takes you nowhere. STEP SEVEN Know what you want; Really, really want. Focus mental, physical, and spiritual effort on that. A winner never quits a worthwhile goal. A quitter never gains a worthwhile goal. The old adage “the best things in life are free,’ Mr don't you ever believe it. Those have the highest price tag of all. Focus, Effort, Patience, Determination, Commitment, Getting and staying serious.

Ten Commandments of Self-esteem 1. Thou shalt not consort with people who make thee feel bad about thyself. 2. Thou shalt cease trying to make sense out of crazy behavior. 3. Thou shalt not keep company with those more dysfunctional than thyself. 4. Trust thy body all the days of thy life (thy mind doth play games with thee). 5. Thou has permission at all times to say "NO," to change thy mind, and to express thy true feelings. 6. What is not right for thee is also not right for thy brethren. 7. Thou shalt not give beyond thine own capacity. 8. What thy brethren think of thee mattereth naught. 9. Wherever thou art, therein also is the party. 10. Thou shalt sing thine own praises all the days of thy life. Catherine Cardinal ----------------
