So my T told me I need to work on self esteem now before working on other stuff. I get the big picture but I don't really know how to work on this. My T explained it a couple times to me and why I need to do this first, but I didn't get it. I just told her I trust her.
Any suggestions on how to start working on this, or where to start??
Do any of you get self esteem homework from your T?

Start out by deciding what you lack in self esteem.
Thanks for this!

I've started working on my self esteem by becoming aware of and writing down the negative thoughts I have about myself. I'm hoping that at some point I'll be able to follow up the negative thoughts with more positive thoughts. Eventually the goal is that the negative thoughts will become few and far between and positive thoughts about myself will be the norm.
Good luck as you work through it - you're worth it.
Thanks for this!

Thanks shelby! I'll keep working with T on it. It sounds like an incredibly long process? Do you ever focus on the positive things in your life at the same time, doesn't it all kind of tie together?
