A huge attributor to my NO self esteem is this:
See, for years, i tried to look like Dennis Wolf (Google images if don't know him) or someone similar. Yet, in spite of my efforts, I never could attain anything remotely "close" to this ![]() ![]() In addition, I find myself comparing me to all other males...and I feel I do not measure up...so inadequate, insecure, etc....due to lack of muscles....... Is there any way you can do some exercising to build up muscles, if that would help you feel better?
I am trying to learn not to compare myself to others. It only leads to depression! ![]() |

Comparing yourself to others is a risky game to play, and I am an expert at playing it when I shouldn't. So you'll are not alone. Hugs

I used to do the same thing, but I realized that there isn't really a "perfect" individual out there who's beating me in every possible aspect of life. Stephen King is a weirdo, Justin Bieber is a punk, and Tom Cruise is a scientologist.

I used to do this (well, Im trying to stop). In particular, I was/am often comparing myself to my previous T. It seemed like she had about everything I did not. She was (is) fairly young; very pretty; has property and house; owns horses; educated; great boyfriend; etc. I finally realized what I was doing. It was causing me much envy. I have not won this battle yet. But at least I know it is there.

You know you don't have to be super built to be healthy and have a fit appearance. Fitness is a great goal that we should all have but it should be something you enjoy that improves your life, not suck all the joy out of life. As long as you have adequate protein intake and a consistent workout routine, you should be gaining some muscle tone. You can troubleshoot these types of things to see were you may not be getting the results you want using reputable information. Building muscle boils down to physics, which works for everyone, including you.
![]() On a slightly different note, is it that you do have a decent physique but you just don't consider your current gains "enough" (and be honest with yourself here). |
