i am a survivor but thats all,,i am surving but not really living,,i dont know how to move forward..

Speaking for myself and through my own experience - I went through the motions for many many years - I was a drone, and empty, lifeless shell. Therapy was only a beginning for me. A lot of the "housecleaning" that I have had to do -I had to do on my own. There was no escaping the pain of it all and there have been more sleepless nights, tears anger and frustration than I care to admit. I truly believe that therapy does help but we must be strong enough to face ourselves and our past head on if we are going to become the masters of our own life and our true destiny.
I still grapple with many of the challenges and heartaches that I've been through that left me bruised and broken emotionally. I also believe this is a life long process, and that there is no easy road and that each of us has to find our own path to healing. I wish you strength and courage in your endeavors. J |

i started seeing a councellor and have been taking meds..trying to get the dosage right but its a hard go..my doc wants me to join a crisis group,i probably will..i just cant let go and move forward,i cant let go of the hurt..i also have fear of moving on,,i dont understand why...ty for ur responses

Hi. Please do not rush yourself. This is all very recent. Do not expect to just being able to move on and dont feel there is something wrong with. Its natural to take time to process this. Also the fear is natural. Maybe worth looking at trauma in therapy? Hugs xx

Queen of Wands -
the most recent abuse i went through was ten years ago approximately. i am still not done with it, i thought i was, but its all come back with a vengence. my point is that if this is something new for you it will take a while. its a process. i wish you well, take care of you. |
