I have been seeing an accupuncturist for about 4 months now-
I see her for extreme unberable pain that she has been able to put into some level of tolerance for me.
The problem is I have been having panic attacks and flashbacks lately that I did not have when I first began and I need help in getting them under control so I can continue.
The accupucture has been the first thing that has worked besided the heavy duty drugs.
Should I tell the Doc what is happening - she is aware that something is wrong for sure, but not to the extent it is bothering me -- feeling of not being able to go back.
I am rambling but I am upset that I have finally found something that has worked for this severe pain i am in 24-7 and now find difficulty going because of the intense flashbacks and panic attacks.
Any ideas, help, suggestions would be helpful
I am on medication to help the PTSD symptoms and I do see a Psychiatrist once every 3 months.
Thanks, Vanna

((Vanna)) I am 100% sure you should tell her..I bet you are not the only client she has ever had to have this happen..I am sure the story differs but the anxiety and panic she MUST be familair with and can help you stay in to get the pain relief you need

I would tell her. Accupuncture is inserting needles into key areas on the body to relieve stress you move or react to the flashback during the inserting of the needles that could lead to disaster. She may tell you that it is time for a break from it because having a flashback during something like this cause parlysing for life or possible death if she is working near specific arteries and or the spine.
