I'm feeling really nervous posting this - I just don't feel safe enough to post anymore or that I can give enough on here but I woke feeling so traumatised this morning that I really need to... to, idk, just get it written down somewhere....

I woke from a dream that so closely resembles what's coming up for me right now and I haven't been able to shake the feelings off all day.

In my dream I was 6, which was about when it happened, whatever 'it' was, and my dad was making me have sex with him. He was treating me, and talking to me like I was a grown woman.

I've been left with so many feelings that are familiar but feeling way more intense today - distress, disgust at myself, fear, claustrophobia, feeling loved and wanted because he wanted me but so, so ashamed and dirty and untouchable.

I had t today and was a snotty wreck. She couldn't reach me and I left feeling like I contaminated her with my poison and at the same time feeling so unwanted.

I hope someone's listening...

You are not alone. I'm listening. I hope talking about it helps you. PM me if you'd like.

So I guess you didn't share the dream in session? I can understand how the dream left you in a state where it interfered with your session. I hope you can feel safer posting here.

Thank you for knowing and understanding. I feel like I'm caught up in my crazy head all alone at the moment.

I just couldn't manage it. I didn't feel safe or 'held' at all. She tried to get me to put my feet on the ground but my safe place is to be off the ground while making myself as small as possible. It seems when I need t the most, they're the times I shut her out the most

You know what the most disturbing aspect of that dream and those feelings was? It took me ages when I woke up to get my head around that it wasn't a normal thing to happen to a child. It just felt like it was the norm and all kids felt these things and experienced these things. When i was in t's room yesterday a group of little school children must have been on an outing, they all trooped past. I couldn't see them but i could hear them and they sounded so happy and light. It felt really significant that at that moment to notice this.

This would also be a great thing to share with T. It is part of processing.
