I'm not sure how many of you will understand what I'm trying to say here... but I need to try.

Due to my "industrial accident" I am under the disability insurance that covered me at the time. Of course the insurance co. has it's own attorney to keep from paying for everything they can get away with.

This morning I have been further abused by this system! MY attorney's office called wanting to know why I hadn't gone to see this particular psychiatrist. HUH? I knew nothing about it! Seems the opposition's attorney had emailed her and said that this particular doctor's office had called me and I had agreed to see the doctor, but I've missed both appointments.

IT" S ALL LIES! This particular shrink is wacko. He was kicked out of the physical therapy office where he started in 1987 (and where I had to see him 2x but quit because even I realized he psycho.) And then he was kicked out of the local MAJOR hospital's pain clinic because of his unethical and ignorant practices. THERE IS NO WAY I would even answer the phone if they called.

AND they breached my privacy AGAIN! Oh no, my attorney's office tells me, the doctor just want ed to update with me since they had seen me before. HUH? LIES! I have changed my address 5x and my name 2x since 1987... and how would the opposition's attorney be complaining if this doctor did this on his own????? No way, they sicked him on me..

AND I don't see anyone without it first being spoken to me by my attorney. It is illegal for any of the oppostion to contact me directly! So what does MY attorney say? Well, if you didn't really talk to them, then there's no breach of privacy!!! OMG And they want to know why I'm in constanct hyper vigilance???

The opposition lies through their teeth, and MY attorney, instead of checking with me first, believes THEM and then duns me!

Sorry. Thanks for reading. Just remember there are a lot of different kinds of abuse out there... and the legal system revictimizes the victim every chance it gets.

...I can misspeak like the best of us

If your anything like me...your already on shaky ground emotionally and you dont need this crap! I dont know the nature of your accident, but I know how it feels to be at the mercy of a team of doctors who ultimately get to decide your fate. I have lost all respect for the art of doctoring. Its really a wacky world when the doctors treating us have bigger issues than we do.
And it sucks to have to jump thru their hoops and go to all those appointments.
They want you to get frusterated and give up. Dont give them the satisfaction.
Its really hard to deal with shady people...saying you missed an appointment when you never even knew about it...These insurance companies and the doctors they pay to give them the diagnosis they want... are the slimiest.
They work so hard to make sure people who are legitimately injured or sick get absoultely nothing...not even talking about money...i'm talking about basic care.
Is this lawyer one that you pay from your own pocket...or one of those legal services guys? You sound really stressed...maybe a nice warm bubble bath and some candles....
Just wanted you to know that I hear you.
take care of you.

Sky,

I'm sorry that your insurance company is so rotten. It is extremely wrong that they get away with this kind of junk. I don't know what else to say except that we're all on your side here, and if venting helps then go for it.
