Hold your own hand. Sometimes that helps me especially when I have the body memories going on. Say to yourself you will not let him/her take you away from you ever again. This is your body not anyone elses. You are ok right now in this moment. You are alive and you feel. All those things are allowed. Cuddle up in some warm clothes and maybe have some tea. Anything to take away the pain and ease your mind. Write about it, talk about it just be ok. I'm sorry you are having a tough time right now. I keep getting told that every time I don't want to do something is actually when I'm most ready to tackle the issue at hand. Stay strong.

Yes, ground yourself in the "now" world. I rub my hands against the furniture material and place myself in place/time on the couch/chair. Sometimes I go outside and watch cars driving, feel the sun and maybe pull a weed or touch a tree, etc.

it is hard to get over that barrier isnt it?! i still get days like that myself, but they soon pass.

i think we have to grow to appreciate our body and realise that it is ours and nobody elses, as sailaway said. it is the most important thing to us, because obviously without it we cant be. so maybe it would be a good idea to pamper yourself when you get down. treat yourself to something, a massage, or a long soak in the bath etc.

im finally getting a grip on who i am and am slowly feeling comfortable being in my skin, but it does tkae alot of hard work and there are bound to be hiccups along the way.

hope you continue feeling better.

take care and stay strong.
