In the famous words of a Don Williams song: " Some broken hearts never mend............" Emotional abuse is worse than being hit. It attacks the self esteem, and becomes a poison that rips through the mind like a razor sharp knife. You buy into the abusers' comments and that's how you form your opinions of yourself!!! It almost NEVER heals............ALMOST........it takes alot of LOVE, and alot of HUGS. Trust almost never comes back, either. So sad. |

I think so too. Physical wounds heal relatively easily, but emotional ones get worse the longer that they sit there, and you build up scar tissue around them, and it's hard to recover. Fuzzy, it's good to hear you allowing that those wounds can get better, and also remembering that you can get out of the way of the abuse. You don't have to let anyone keep hurting you.
