Im 23 and i live with my dad and we also work for the same company. Since i was little he would yell and scream at me get in my face and call me the most horrible names. I noticed alot of times it didnt really seem like i did anything to make him act this way. I know its not my fault so i try not to let it affect me. But it still does. Now i have kids of my own and he acts this way to me in front of them sometimes. And at the moment i cant move. Its messed up cause i pay him to stay here just to be treated like crap. Planning on moving in the next few months. Has anyone been in my situation or something similar? Any advice

Sorry you had/have to put up with such abuse. You certainly do need to remove your children and yourselves from your situation. You are not the problem... he is! I'd move as soon as you can.

He is teaching your children that you are not to be respected.
This will be the way HE was treated, bring that up next time,
ask if HE liked it! Get away as quick as possible;that's
abusive allowing children to witness YOUR ABUSE.

Yea i know. I feel bad but as of now i have nowhere else to go. Im in the process of getting child support from my kids dad. Once that happens ill be able to afford to move out and things will be much easier.

Thats true. I dont mind loving him i just cant live with him. I try to keep my mouth shut as much as possible so i dont trigger him. I also understand that he grew up with verbal and physical abuse from his father. He let it affect his ability as a parent. Im making it my goal not to be like him to my children.
