My name is Katie. I am here to seek a support system out side of my family, mainly my husband. He has been my biggest support system. I am going to share some things about myself. I am a mom of 4 kids and have been married for 14 yrs. I suffer from PTSD, BPD and depression. I am going to be very open about the things I have been through to given you an idea of my trauma. I will apologize now from me sharing my trauma if I happen to trigger anyone while sharing. That is not my intention.

I grow up with my father being a alcoholic and abuse of to my mother. I have witness a lot of

Anytime. Sorry I didn't write more but sometimes I feel quite shy on here

You have been through a lot and it sounds like you're trying your best. You have and are in therapy and you are reaching out here for support. It also sounds like you are self aware of your moods and how they affect those around you.

Have you found the BPD or PTSD forums yet? Sometimes it really helps to talk with those going through similar things

Thank you again.... I understand being shy. I use to not talk about my emotional disabilities to anyone out of shame and fear of judgment. But I don't want to live like that any more.

The problem for me is I am aware I have mood swings but once I get stuck in them its hard for me to get out. I can feel the spiral coming but I feel by time I feel that I am out of control already with my thoughts and what is truly reality. I have been in therapy for 7 yrs. Now what I am doing is seeking out DBT-CBT Treatments with a Psychologist.

I have not found a BPD or PTSD forum yet. I find it a little had to navigate this forum/website. Do you know of any? I would appreciate the help. You are right, it would be helpful to talk with people that go though the same thing. I was also hoping to find a support system/forum for my husband.

In case you haven't found them yet on here. This is the BPD forum here https://psychcentralforums.com/borde...lity-disorder/

And here is the PTSD forum https://psychcentralforums.com/post-traumatic-stress/

Sorry it took me a minute to get back with you. I was off work for three days and I only come here at work. There are too many prying eyes around my house
