ginniesky,

This has happened to me too. For me, i believe it was my inner child trying to adjust and tell me things, but mainly to express the feelings about what happened when i was so young. Letting that process flow, I believe, can help you heal. I also suggest that you reassure yourself, speaking out loud, that you are o.k. today Let yourself and your inner child know that you can let any trapped feelings out and that you are ready to bring your inner child home now to safety.

Drawing pictures or writing sentences about your feelings and thoughts can also help, but use child-like things, like crayons and construction paper. Maybe write or draw with your non-dominant hand -- that helped me a lot to take the logical part out of the way for a moment so the feelings could take over and be expressed.

Hope this helps.

be well,

mtd

I have periods of time where i am trapped at the child stage and being out in the world can be very frightening. It is temporary and will pass. Keep telling yourself that you are not there and you are safe and do things that will make your child feel safe, draw, paint whatever helps you. I am thinking of you. Code:
