Dream Garden

well you have to get down on your knees, some like to squat, but I just fall over when I try to do that..

then you make a circle in the dirt with a stick, like this.... the marbles go in the middle of the circle, but make sure not to put anything in there your not ready to loose if your playing keepsies...I use my lucky marble..

I take my finger (thumb) and place my lucky marble in front of it, there's a certain way to hold it in your hand, almost like a fist, you hold your hand like this a little above the line

But it can't go in the circle, cause then that is fudgies, the goal is to knock the marbles in the middle outside of the circle, any that go outside the circle you gets to keep if playing for keeps, if not then its just for fun and practice..

I find it helps if my tongue sticks out of the corner of my mouth just a lttle and I close one eye, dont know why..but it helps my aim..oh..and would not recommend playing it in a dress with boys around..otherwise you hear giggles and can distract you(s)...

Sounds confusing but kinda fun. I've never played it before. Thank you for explaining it.

it is fun to play, you can play with them all by yourself too, kinda like Jacks..uh oh..dont get me started on those..

Thanks I'm not sure how to play jacks either but I've seen kids play them at least. Not sure what I did for fun as a child lol

jj..had favorite shooters like the boulder and steelies..but had to be careful when playing for keepsies..could not buy marbles, they cost a lot of money..a whole quarter for a bag, that took our milk money for a whole week..

I will try when I come down from the Oak tree Skittles, right now we see something very strange in the Garden...a really BIG bird..and dont want to climb down just yet cause he is a stranger..

he doesn't waddle like a duck..or float like a swan..
he doesn't quack, squawk, honk, whistle or tweet..

...hmmm...he struts..he is very pretty..oh and sometimes he stops and his long tail feathers..stands almost straight up...the feathers have eyes on them that never blink..I know cause I been watching them very closely..and not one blink..

I hope he drops one when he walks by..they look like they would make a cool tickle feather.. ..

That was so much fun..hmmm..what can we do today for play..A Circus has appeared near the flowerbed, it is so very tiny...I had to get my magnify glass out to see it..

thank goodness for Cracker Jacks surprise inside..glad I did not get one of those toy cowboys again..

when I put my magnify glass up to my eye I see it is an Ant Circus, with a teeny tiny Ferris wheel, and match boxes full of interesting side shows...hmmm..

hope they dont notice me(s) watching..but cant help it, they are just so interesting..have never seen an ant that could lift a Tootsie Pop..hmmm..never seen a Tootsie Pop with a sucker on both ends either..WOW..what a cool idea..that way when your done with one side you unwrap the other one and have twice the fun..

Oh my goodness.. I am so happy to be back by the Oak. I have spent much time following the Ant Circus as they made their way thru the Garden, and it was so much fun, I learned allot about Ants. Never gave them a great deal of thought, or courtesy, up until recently.

I will afford them much of the later after watching their Circus, they are a very busy one minded bug, yet work together like the bestest of friends. I wondered how they did that, so I asked the one operating the Ferris wheel. He gave me the most quizative look and muttered something often told to me by other Garden residents.. “Humans are strange creatures and one day I would understand”.. and then he went back to operating the Ferris wheel, which made the Ants stuck at the top very happy. I apologized as a matter of manners, and they appeared pleasantly surprised at my efforts to do so, as if they expected something less..

I walked away pondering..and to be honest..by the time I made my way back to where they had been..the Circus had moved on..probably a good thing, since I had missed sitting by the Oak and watching the clouds.

I see our feather is lying by the tree, I must have forgotten to put it away in the Secret place where we hide all our treasures, but now there is something new next to it..a very pretty jeweled box..hmmm...I wonder what is inside..any guesses at what it might hold?

I think I will just sit here a bit and look very closely at it, maybe pick it up..if I get brave, one(s) never know about boxes, even as pretty as this..hmmmm..
