Thank God because even though my period brought a migraine along for the ride, at least I'm relieved of the PMDD symptoms for another month. Hopefully in that month's time we can figure out a decent solution. Hope, hope, hope!

Even though I have only been in here occasionally recently, I still thank you for your support on the days I've been at my worst in here. I appreciate it and the understanding from others who "get it" when it comes to this aspect - being a woman with hormones to deal with on top of MI.. yuck!

Glad for the good news!
I get menstral migraines too to add insult to injury. I'm sorry you are stuck w/ one as well.
I hope you find relief for the PMDD in the next month, seeing anyone for it?

Thanks. My P wants me to try taking Prozac for the 2 weeks. I don't see how that can work when Prozac is a medicine that has to build up in your system in order to work. Seeing GYN Sept 1 to see if she has ideas

I don't know if this would help you or not. But I stay on my birthcontrol for 6 months and then go off for a week to have a period and then back on for 6 months. It seems to really help me and I hardly ever have break through bleeding. The reason I do this is I have horrible cramps, endometriosis, and easily develop ovarian cysts. Since starting this almost 2 years ago, my endo and cysts are under control and the cramps are more managable. Just a thought.

I'm glad to come hear and see a thread about PMDD I don't know about myself, I still feel kind of fraudulent to complain about it, but no one should ever underrate PMT/PMDD!

I have been told that taking daily supplements of Evening Primrose oil and St John's Wort is useful - primrose oil seems to work for me, even only on placebo effect.

I take Evening Primrose for cramping, years now, does seem to help. Not diagnosed with PMDD however, endometriosis and fibroids.

Phrick, please let us know what the GYN says. I do hope you'll find some good answers and help there. Hang in meanwhile.

Well this PAP was just with my GP who was pretty much worthless on the topic. I do have a referral coming for a regular GYN hopefully she (I hope it's a she!) will have more ideas...
