Hi everyone,
During that time of the month, I usually just get severe cramps that are taken away with extra-strength Midol. Once in a while though, I will get SEVERELY nauseous. It happened a couple of days ago. I felt lightheaded & really nauseous, feeling like I might faint, throw up, or do both. So I was basically taking gravol and laying down in the bathroom beside the toilet in case I need to vomit. Fortunately, I didn't. But it took about a day for that feeling to go away. It was awful! Anybody else get this? |

Omg yes...can most definitely relate. This past period I felt so sick. Everything was hurting...I mean whole body aches, nausea, headache, & feeling lightheaded/faint. I was at school & wanted to just lay on the floor & die. That's how bad I felt. On top of that no meds that I took helped, it seemed like they only made it worse. I hate hate hate my periods!

(((melissa.recovering))) From the time I started having periods to when I had my son, at 29, they were horrendous. Just doubled over in fetal position with cramps, passed big clots, changed pads every hour, couldn't go to school or had to go to the clinic& have them call my mom from work to take me home. Well, at 29 I had been out on my own for over8 yrs, to clarify & working a job you can't say I have cramps I gotta go home, just doesn't fly.
But... After I had my son, very light periods with little to no cramps & lasting 3-4 days vs 7-10 days. So... there is hope, this torture might not last forever. I'm not saying to run out & have a baby, but just because they are so bad now doesn't mean a life sentence of it. Thought I'd give you my experience of the monthly curse. Take care, hang in there. ![]() |
