I have kind of a dirty feet smell that is coming from down there, it's gross. I shower daily and have good hygiene, trust me. No cottage cheese or thick discharge though, or itching which is usually associated with a yeast infection. It is kind of yellow too. Yeast infection? Does it make sense to treat it just incase it is a yeast infection? Couldn't hurt, right?

I have not had unprotected sex, so I doubt I have an STD. In addition, started the pill three months ago, after being off it for a year. I started a new kind, so I can probably attribute it to that, but I'm not sure. Suggestions?

Sounds like pretty normal discharge to me. You can use pantiliners. A sort of light, musky scent is normal though.

Do make sure that you aren't using high fragrance soaps, powders in your undies, or douching. All of these "feminine cleaning techniques" are horrible for a woman's pH level & could give you a yeast infection in the future. High fragrance soaps also commonly irritate us & make us a little itchy down there.

Actually, treating as a yeast infection, when there isn't a yeast infection, can cause harm. Not too serious, but it's not good to take something, your body, doesn't need.

I had a yeast infection, years ago, had bronchitis, in college, the anti biotic, is what brought about the yeast infection. It's dry, itchy and white.

Could, always, get a check up, if things seem abnormal.

Actually I've had yeast infections with no discharge but ALWAYS terrible itching. Very common for a lot of women from antibiotics. If you're not sure, maybe you should go to gyno? Yes, it may be an nice tigon, but since it doesn't sound like you have some of the usual symptoms, maybe a gyno can tell you and give you the meds you need or at least advise you what here may be OTC Either way, at least if you get it again, you'll know what to do and what it is!

I noticed a yeast screening kit, so you can know if it's an infection or not. Perhaps it's available where you live? If not, going to the doctors is a good idea.
