please don't think less of me. as of right now I am thinking less of myself, how could this happen to me?

i had an iud for 3 1/2 years now. when i began working again, about 2 months ago, i had immense pressure in my pelvic region. the pressure was intense for two days, especially when standing. then after that two days it completely stopped.

i did have a normal period after that, then another one....which was odd because i basically spotted for a couple hours then it ended. i figured it was one of those weird iud periods and never thought of it again.

well now i am sick all the time. no period has come for me, i don't even know how long it's been since my last period. my periods are so irregular that i can't keep track of them. i've been nauseous and vomiting. i feel wickedly fatigue all the time. what made me fear the most was normally i have no sense of smell, but today i smelled onions in ranch........for real. before i would hardly smell the ranch itself.

i hope to god and all other higher forces larger then me that i am not pregnant...........please please please.

please help me, just say anything to ease my constant worrying.

i'm so terrified i won't take a test............. Terrified that I may be pregnant Terrified that I may be pregnant Terrified that I may be pregnant Terrified that I may be pregnant Terrified that I may be pregnant Terrified that I may be pregnant Terrified that I may be pregnant

Hey. No judgement AT ALL. It is... Time to take the test, sweetie. It is more likely (I would say) that you AREN'T pregnant than that you are - so taking the test is more likely to put your mind at rest and allow you to shift your attention to thinking about what might be going on for you.

Do you have a friend IRL who you can confide in and maybe hang out with on the way in to the doc or while you get a test done yourself perhaps? Friends can come in handy at times like this. Or alternatively... Post updates here and I'm sure you will receive friendly responses.

When I don't know what to do / when I feel scared my natural inclination is to avoid and do nothing. Trouble is that that often results in my making things unnecessarily worse for myself. The situation magnifies and escalates.

Sometimes what can help is to break the task down into little manageable steps:

1) Either make an app with a doc or go buy a testing kit.
2) If you have someone who can go with you / be with you when you take the test - do that.

Worry about the next steps later...

(((you)))

IUDs can slip!

This happened to a friend of mine who was using one, down to the spotting, period, etc -- and she's several months pregnant right now. Terrified that I may be pregnant Definitely time to take the test.

Nobody here will think less of you! It can happen to anyone. The best way to ease your mind is to take a test.

whew....I was on the Internet researching IUD's and probabilities of falling out and such. There was many stories from women who became pregnant because the IUD was set in wrong, dislocated, fell out, and some were even pregnant with the IUD still in place....crazy. I'm still freakin. I woke up this morning and felt nauseous, but never threw up. Maybe a stomach issue...hope to jeezez. I plan on getting a test today, I have to sneak around though....I don't want ANYBODY to know.

There was also these pregnant quizzes and all of them said high possibility, accept for one. Isn't pms symptoms similar to pregnancy symptoms sometimes...like boob tenderness? Maybe I have a stomach issue and I'm pms'ing too..........please

Oh, you naughty girl! At least you have some excitement in your life! I can certainly see (from my own relationship) how some women can be pushed to such actions, no judging here. I hope everything works out for you. I really didn't think you could get pregnant with an iud. let us know how everything turns out, my sister plans on getting one (she has three girls 3, 2, and new born) I would have to advise her not to if you are definitely pregers.

Good luck and take care.

Think less of you? Honey, I had a tubal ligation (cut, removed and cauterized) and got pregnant a year later. These things HAPPEN!

I understand your fear, I really do... the best thing I can say is to get tested. This doesn't necessarily have to be pregnancy..... many conditions can cause missed periods so the first defense is offense... take a pregnancy test, see a physician.. and don't waste any time in investigating what is going on with you.

Where to go from there depends on what's going on. First things first!

Ps.... a lot of worry can cause missed periods too!

Please let us know what is happening.... I'm sure most of us understand the emotional upheaval you are experiencing right now and it's important that you talk about it.

God be with you!

I'm NOT pregnant.....a big fat NEGATIVE on that one....thank goodness. I feel so relieved and so much better.....whew

Today has been a good day. I bought to test and tested negative on both. I also set an appointment to have my IUD checked, the first time since it was put in 3 1/2 years ago. Once they tell me it's all in good place and condition I will be a worry free woman again.

Thanks for the support through this scary time. ((((to all))))
