This may be to gross or graphic so if u r easily nauseated stop reading...

I had a large bump almost in the crease of my leg and the ourter skin on my vagina... atleast that's the best location I can state... anyway some thought it was a bump... I don't know just was grossed out to find that it still hurt but err burst yesterday sometime but is still having a tiny bit of discharge of puss/blood. Is this normal for a boil? Could it be something else? Should I worry. BTW I did go to the family doc thursday for the annual and she's doing a test for stds so hopefully that will be resolved soon and I'll know better I guess.

Hello DOUBLE. There are many reasons for the Boil. Changing detergents, diets or having a weakened immune system can all cause this problem, but since you were sexually active I would tell the Dr to make sure everything is okay with the boil. Having a boil does not necessarily that it is an STD but I would still have it checked to make sure. It is better to be safe than sorry in this case. Take care Double. I hope things go well with your Dr Appointment when you go next week. Soidhonia

I get those from time to time and yes they are yucky but I get the other places as well. I don't think it has anything to do with std's. I am married and I know for sure I don't have std's. good though your dr is checking it out. keep us posted.

Ouch! I get something similar from time to time... I think it's from shaving, especially if I'm not using a new-ish razor. Good for you for getting it checked out... hope everything's okay.

It sounds like an ingrown hair to me... I get them. Just wait for the results from your doctor to confirm but I'm sure you'll be fine! Good luck!

It also sounds like it could be a staff infection it doesn't sound like the really bad kind (MRSA). But if it is staff you really have to be careful. MRSA went through my sisters family and we had to disinfect everything and take preventative medication (all of us even though we didn't get it, but just because we were in contact with them). Staff infections look like a boil and they burst and are very contagious. Not trying to scare you just think you should definitely ask your doctor about it.

Good luck

it's an ingrown hair, i get them sometimes....especially if shaving and waxing is involved. if you have curly hair you tend to get them more. it don't mean your gross or nothing, it's just a hair growing under the skin and becoming infected. it happens to the best of us. when they turn white like a zip or the hair is peeking through the top, just pop it and it'll go away.

i remember having something similar when i was about 13 or 14, right beffore i started seeing a gyno, i was not about to let my mom know because either she would want to see it or she would have taken me to my male dr at the time, and that wasnt gonna happen lol! it was about the size of a dime and raised, also located on the crease of my leg on the inner thigh. it got so painful i was having trouble walking, so that night i remember cutting it open myself (not recommended) and omg the smell was gut wrenching, but it cleared up, i still have a scar there and can feel a tiny knot but i never had another one.
