Right now I don't feel any motivation to find a job and I don't even feel unemployed.

Usually the feeling of unemployment is despondence, boredom and restlessness. Right now I have been unemployed for almost 2 years, and even after 3 months of unemployment I didn't particularly feel unemployed or that I was missing being at work.

I have no interest in finding a job. I know that it is important, but I don't feel it.

I don't know how you are supporting yourself; feeding, housing, clothing yourself, but I preferred working at a job to begging or stealing :-)

There is always freelancing and contract work where you work when you want and depending on your needs. Internet is getting very handy for freelance working online.

Idleness will affect your emotional performance and also health. So get yourself engaged in something.

Where do I find this freelance work? I have social phobia so I've always wanted to do something where I can work from home.

Thanks,

Toilet.

I do some freelance writing online. You have to look for a while to find the right job because a lot of buyers will undercut the pay, and you end up working your butt off for nothing. But I have gotten some great jobs that pay me pretty well for my work.

How do you live? If you have your basics and don't need to work, don't bother.

I do also wonder how you are managing?
Right now, I'm facing the prospect of retirement. It may be premature, but I'll find out in Oct. of this year when I meet with the retirement bd.
I know, as I weave my way thru days with middle school chaos, I recently thought..."Hey...I could be free of this!" The thought is both scary and liberating. If it is liberating for you not to have to work, if you have other resources, maybe that's okay, then!

Well, I am the same way with my job search. the state i live in has nothing but crap low paying jobs and the good paying ones either want over 5 yrs of experience or not hiring. I have a degree in Network Admin no certifications (not sure when will i get those) but i have done IT as a hobby for over 17 yrs that is NOT WORK EXPERIENCE but i do not have field work experience. it does not count because i was not getting paid and yes i was told that by an IT manager at my ex college and at recent workshops i have attended.

i know i have been applying online waiting for a call and expecting an interview. i am so hurting financially that i can not attend networking events and where i live, everything is spread out (live in a city not far away from the capital) u need a car to get from point A to point B.

everything that people have told me has nothing been crap for job advice. it does not fit well for me, my age, my degree, and lack of experience. the advice needs to be better depending on people's situation. my situation is worse just like those who are in the same boat. volunteering is out of the question sorry that is not paying my bills.

temp agencies are such crap i havent heard back from the one i went to in july 2012. i swear nobody in this depression has an actual answer for anything such useless people. there isn't much hope for anybody out there in this world if u ask me.

I don't feel like working either, I never miss working, but I do miss getting a paycheck and feeling like I am going at a right direction. It's okay to feel like this once in a while. But having motivation is important, I know it's not easy if you're battling an illness, it's tough. Is this feeling over a lot of things or just finding a job? The act of trying to find a job is stressful and dreadful. everytime I tried looking for a job, it made me feel so depressed
What are your goals? aspiration?

Thanks,

You can find them on freelancer.com or elance.com or similar other sites. Make sure you see some of the jobs offer and then develop your skills as needed. for example, lets say you are good at voiceover or say writing then you can pick respective job offers and complete them. Usually work is more of goal oriented than hourly. Most of the hourly jobs are not earning much there and also have a lot of competition.
