Thank you for this info- it was so kind of you to put all of this together. I am in the process of trying to find a telecommuting job, and have been struggling... thanks again!

Thank you so much for all of these resources and great information. I am in the process of transitioning from day treatment to the home office I am putting together. I am actively looking for a telecommuting position, and this will be a big help.

Is it okay if I message you with questions that might come up as I go?

Thanks again!

Sure. That's not a problem. If you let me know some specifics of what you're looking for, I may be able to provide additional ideas as well.

Maranara don't be disheartened, there are many who like the information you give. Each person can take what works and leave the rest. Just understand that some people are more sensitive than others based on information they've received or their own experiences, and you had a good response to that about fbook and other social medias.

Sometimes its ok to not respond - maybe make a disclaimer for your help offers and don't respond to pms that are rude. Eventually it won't be worth their time. keep helping if you can. You're a good resourceful person.
Thanks for this!

I noticed a lot of people are disheartened about finding a job and I thought I'd bump this back to the top. I'll do some research and look through my stuff sometime today and come up with a few more places people can look, and I'm completely fine about those who didn't like this post. I'm long over it. I have really, really bad reactions what don't last long, so all is good.
Thanks for this!

I looked at some of the sublinks. One was called flexjobs, a website that charges a monthly membership fee. Here's how I evaluated it, something that might be useful for others checking out various sites. I ended up googling "flexjobs + complaint" and got some sites that gave reviews saying they're legit, but it's debatable whether they are valuable for most people. Here are the links:

FlexJobs Complaints

FlexJobs Review - Telecommuting Jobs Site Review - FlexJobs.com

Thanks again for this thread, Maranara.

Keep in mind when it comes to a lot of additional, secondary links on the ones provided here that anyone can buy connecting links or advertising space on a lot of sites. It's the way the original sites make money. These secondary sites should not discounted, but they SHOULD be looked upon with a wary eye, particularly if they're asking for money. There are a lot a questionable sites out there.

If you find any additional job-search sites you deem legitimate and worthwhile, post them for others. I'll see if I can post additional resources as well.

Here's a job my friend found as a subset of one of the OP's links. It's a company that helps google give good search results by rating various search results. It pays >$13 an hour, and it really does pay. My friend has been doing it for 4 months. The work is at odd times of day, and not regular. My friend made >$350 a month in spare time while doing another FT job. If you do well, you get more work after 6 months or so, at a higher rate of pay, about $17 or $18. There is a learning curve. There are manuals. You have to pass 3 tests over the period of a week, but they are open book tests. There are no fees until they come to pay you, and then there is a transfer fee at your bank to put the money in. My friend works in Canada. There is much more work in the USA, and I see there is also work around the world. This is the link the company gave my friend to refer other people to the job.

https://www.leapforceathome.com/qrp/...234a737ae51ed4

I notice there are quite a few different positions and LANGUAGES that are desired, so you don't have to be good in English. You could be good in another language. Here's the current listing:

United States - English Language
United States - Chinese Simplified Language
United States - Spanish Language
United States - Persian / Farsi Language
Canada - English Language
Canada - Chinese Simplified Language
Canada - Persian / Farsi Language
Brazil - Portuguese Language
Egypt - Arabic Language
Germany - German Language
Russia - Russian Language
Spain - Spanish Language
Portugal - Portuguese Language
Japan - Japanese Language
Italy - Italian Language
France - French Language
United Kingdom - English Language
Hong Kong - Chinese Traditional Language
Taiwan - Chinese Traditional Language

Edit: One optional and highly recommended thing for these jobs is RaterAide, a piece of software for $10 that helps you with record keeping, invoicing and opening tabs quickly. This was my friend's recommendation. I'm not involved in any of this. You are paid by the task (2-10 minutes) and the software keeps track of a lot of this for you.

More recommended home-based job links. These were recommended on a pay-walled website. I thought they looked interesting, especially for people in the USA:

Work at Home Jobs: Free Legitimate Work From Home Job Opportunities

Real Ways to Earn Money Online

Edit: I note the first page has a link for work in Canada. I'm actually going to follow up on one of those.

I forwarded those links to my husband as he's looking for something...but as we live in such a rural area so many jobs would require a lengthy commute...not exactly something we can afford, especially if it's only for a part time job.

Honestly to, I'll probably look at some of those sites for myself...I work full time, but it's only three days a week and over the winter time I suspect I'll need a little something extra to keep my brain occupied.

I started a social group for people looking for a job. You and anyone interested is welcome to join: http://forums.psychcentral.com/group...b-seekers.html

Also, thank you for dredging this thread up. I was looking for it recently and couldn't find it. I'm going to add a link to it to a thread in my group as it has a lot of info I don't feel like repeating.

Maranara, I tried to follow to the new link, but was informed by an error message that I could not access that group? Is it because I am brand new? Is there something I need to do first? Help...

I do not know if you have to have a certain amount of posts beforehand or not....I'll post it again. If you still have no luck, write a few more posts and try again.
