I just quit yet another job. One that paid fairly well and that I didn't mind at first. I had a nice boss, the schedule wasn't great and the job itself was tedious but I worked iit for 2 1/2 months with no problem.

Then last week I had an issue with my brother, it's a long story but it really stressed me out and it became all I could think about at work. My head hurts, I have terrible anxiety, I'm tired all the time and I cannot see any hope whatsoever.

Sorry to unload this here but I don't talk about my problems to anyone in "real life". I'm just totally lost......

I'm sorry you're feeling so bad. Would it be possible for you to get a therapist? You might not have insurance, but they have some clinics that do therapy on a sliding scale based on income.

I've had problems with this sort of thing in the past. Something will happen that stresses me out & I'll have the urge to just ditch everything. One time I quit my last therapist although what I was stressed about had nothing to do with her. Another time I dumped every internet website I was on, including PsychCentral, even though what I was stressed about had nothing to do with being on the internet in particular.

I presume there is some psychological explanation for this. But I don't know what it is. I just know what the experience is like. I also don't talk about my problems with anyone in real life. So I know what that's about as well. I hope being here on PC is of help to you & that, in some way, you will be able to find a path to deep peace within.

I’ve been there and done that. I’ve been to therapists several times, I don’t know if they’re bad at their jobs or it’s just me but I don’t get much out of it. It seems to basically boil down to “think positively”. My therapist was supposed to refer me to a doctor for medication but she never did and after she missed one of our sessions I was told I would have a new therapist, which I couldn’t deal with. I’m not trying to make excuses but I literally couldn’t go through all the getting to know you stuff with a new therapist after doing it for a month and half with my old one.

I had low income insurance and I made a doctors apt but it was a 2 1/2 month wait, by which time I had a job which disqualified me from the insurance....the job is the one I just quit.

I’m at the end of my rope.

Thanks. I just nosedived depression and anxiety wise. The hole is so deep I’m not sure there is a way out.

It is important to note that ANY job you get is NOT going to be 100% to your liking. Everyone has things that they don't like about their job. Does the good out weigh the bad? If so, then it might be worth keeping especially if you can do it without a problem at least until you find something else more to your liking.

In the meantime apply for the basic services to keep you in food and housing. See if you can get into a community mental health center, or a club house model so that you can learn some coping strategies to deal with work and family so you don't give up on your job when the proverbial ***** hits the fan. One thing for sure is that it will happen, so best to be prepared the best you can.

I already quit the job. It’s not the job. I go through this with every job. I don’t have time or energy to go through the application waiting process for low income insurance again.

I’m not going to a group home. I don’t have any family other than an aunt and a brother, I mean I do, technically have family but to give you an idea of what kind of family I have....my sister died in a house fire a few years ago....and not a single person from my family called me. So that’s my family.

My brother just drags me down.

Not trying to be negative but the reality is i just don’t see this cycle ending. I’ve had 5 jobs this year alone.

You've got to see the OP's other thread. His problem is not about finding a suitable job, but his inability to keep his job due to depression or anxiety.

As for OP... to be honest I don't know what to suggest. I just want to say that you still have precious things to focus on. Try to figure it out and focus on that. Also, take some advice in here.

I hope you feel beter and fin another job soon. Sorry i cant help much.
