Over the summer one of the bosses of a travel Canada/U.S. company I worked for started hitting on me. He was a Mexican guy. "You're so pretty," he would say. He started doing really creepy things like giving the other girls more work than me because I was "special". He made them do all the dirty work while I got easy jobs. Then he actually brought me a "gift." A shot gloss from a sex shop. He followed me to my car and asked me on a date. I told the main boss about this and he ignored it and then later blamed me for causing trouble. Even though one of the other employee's said he had asked for my phone number on the job and backed me up.The boss left a message on my answering machine and I showed it to the main boss, also a guy, but he ignored it. So I simply quit on my own and went to Canada. Have you ever been sexually harassed at work and what happened?

So sorry that happened. I had a colleague who hit on me and gave up when he realized I was very committed to my marriage. We have had folks who have written about being sexually harrassed, so maybe somebody will respond soon.

Me!? My own wife won't even flirt with me.

I have seen other cases of it and I know of at least one that's currently in litigation, one lead to the firing of a manger after the courts became involved and another lead to a manager being fired when the text messages were taken to the owner.

sue the company, sue him, sue them all, you just hit the jackpot.

Won't hurt to also has some witness!

Start crying! talking about the emotional damage! the fear! how belittled you felt!

When I was a legal secretary, I kept on getting hit on by one of the partners whose office was near my cubicle. Eventually, I complained to the office manager. I got moved to a different cubicle farther away from him, and I'm pretty sure he was spoken to. Anyway, the harassment stopped. He eventually got fired - - I believe for performance reasons but I'm sure the sexual harassment didn't help.

I so wish they fired the manager who was hitting on me like happened in your case. Unfortunately, they did nothing and I could sue.

Actually I was sexually harassed at work. I was terrified to walk done the same hallway. She couldn't keep her hands off me. And yes I'm a guy, and it happens to guys more often than anyone thinks.

I went to my boss, and told him he had to do something. I'm the HR person for the company, so I couldn't do it. The owner had to. Well, he warned her. That lasted about a week.

Than one day, I was talking to the receptionist, and she walks by and grabs my butt. I suffer from combat related PTSD, it's not good to startle me. I almost hit the woman. I blew up at her, called her every name in the book, and stormed out of the building.

The receptionist called the owner, and explained everything that had happened. Needless to say, by the time I walked around the block to calm down, she had her stuff packed and was gone.

I guess my boss was afraid that since I know the laws on workplace harassment, that he better take care of it.

Oh yes Marshellette, no one at the office could believe it either, but I was glad the receptionist saw everything.

Seriously, if you have witnesses, sue them into the dirt.

Next time (hopefully won't be a next time) go to hr. Most of the time I think hr useless to employees but when it comes to sexual harassment they are scared s***less. The law takes it very seriously in the us. If there is no hr dept... Your definitely leaving money on the table if you don't sue

K, I'm not going to view that because it might be sick.

I'm not sure this is the right guy for the situation.
