Not really socially acceptable , certainly not employer acceptable , brushed under the rug as it doesn't fit into societies view on the joy and satisfaction of a job well done , giving your life purpose and meaning . Anything you read that actually acknowledges it's existence gives you a few handy tips to set the ship right and steam full ahead again . Well , the reality for me is it doesn't improve ...and I'm glad about that . If you smash yourself for decades with high stress and long hours that never really end because your only a phone call or email away , you may burnout . The only cure for me I reckon will be when I give it up and do something less demanding . So my current strategy ... work 70 hrs a week and get hounded day and night any time I'm apparently off work . It's called the act like it's not happening strategy . Risky and not a long term winner , but make hay while the sun shines . I'm going to beat the b#stards at their own game . F.I.R.E ( financially independent retire early ) , but not retire in a rocking chair with a blanket over the knees . Life 2.0 ...live a bit of it . Cheat the elite class out of some of my good years of servitude . Just need to keep the brain together for a couple more years with glue and wire and anything that stops it cracking more . Anyways ...that be the plan .

Thanks mate , you too !
I know , the thread is a bit lame , just some self congratulation about how good am I . Understand there's plenty of people in worse positions . Writing that was just a bit like when I put Eminem on when lifting weights ...to get angry inside to find that hidden reserve of mental strength to go another rep ... survive another day .
