There's a woman who fills in for us, but is looking for work. I have used up my ticket to work under review, was found disabled. But I can't afford to risk going over at all. So I had to reduce my work hours. My pay is already reduced, and since that woman wants more hours. Hopefully it turns out to be a win win.
I can't work more hours to fill in for Julie when she's gone on vacations. The other lady can. I am a bit worried I'll be axed out. But I'm kind of trying to wein myself off of work anyway and get back to being on fully on disability. But I have too many bills for the next 2 years to do that. But people have been suggesting lately I give up working, and I have been feeling more stressed about work. I'm hoping reducing a day helps me. I still need the extra money. But I am getting more situated living on my own. I have off Friday, Monday, Tuesday. Took off Monday, Tuesday was trying to take more days to avoid using my last month of ticket to work. But still have too much because of the extra days from last month. Well I may have put an axe in my coffin they pressure me to work too much and I cannot risk losing my disability. I've really thought about it. I wanted at one time to be off disability, but economically it's just not something I can do. My main med is 19K a year no insurance, but any job I get won't be worth losing the insurance I have that basically covers it.

Yeah, that insurance is just critical. I am on disability, but I have a family to support and a bunch of kids and it just all goes to that. So, I am uninsured. All my meds--cash. All my shrink appts.--cash. No therapist right now because it is that or shrink. It's super hard. If I didn't have to support 8 million people, I'd be in awesome shape. But there's just never enough to go around when it comes time for me. I shoulda bought more disability when I could, but they told me I had bought the maximum.
So, I hear ya. Balancing the disability stuff can be a big challenge. Not really sure what your situation is, whether it's SSDI or private or what, but I always urge people who have been fortunate enough to get their claim approved to be very, very cautious about giving that up. You know how hard it can be to get an approval Sending positive vibes and hugs!!

I do not need to lose a day so I retracted it. Hopefully that doesn't cause too many problems.

Are you in the United States? If so, look up your medications on GoodRX. They show you where you can get your medications for a lower cost and doesn't require insurance. |
