I have mentioned my boss before. Here’s a summary for those who aren’t familiar with things:

I’m a caregiver. My boss has been hostile towards me almost from the get go since I started working for the company.

He was OK at first & he even gave me a good first employee review.

Then everything changed one day when I got lost at a clients apartment. He was nasty & was annoyed at having to help me. I almost got written up.

He said that the place is easy to find. It’s not. Other people got lost there too.

He is usually stressed out & he gets irritated easily. My friend used to work for the company & she said that he got irritated with her too.

He really seems to hate me though. I know that he was always respectful to my other two coworkers. The difference between them & I is that I don’t think that they ever bring up any concerns to him.

I made that mistake a few times. I had some issues with a few nasty womrn thrte who got offended when I politely asked them to use headphones a few times

One lady got so mad that she told me that no one likes me & that I ‘complain’ to much.

I don’t understand why other people don’t like me as I keep to myself & I don’t bother anyone. I’m quiet & respectful.

She blasted her music. So rude. I had to go to the garage to get some peace. It can be cold or hot in there though.

She said that she was about to cuss me out. I told my manager about this nasty abusive woman & long story short, my boss thought I was creating ‘drama’.

Nothing was done at first. Then he said there’s disrespect across the board & that he’d have to move people to different places if we couldn’t manage to get along eith each other. So he recently moved me to two different locations. He blamed me for things when the last client was being verbally abusive towards me.

He said, I’m seeing a pattern now. He said that no one likes me. Wth? That is rude & unprofessional! He excusesd the abuse by saying that these clients have mental health issues.

They know better. He obviously doesn’t care about my feelings at all.

It seems like he mostly blamed me for things though as he called me names like princess, that I have a chip on my shoulder & that everyone complained about me to him, both the clients & all of my coworkers except for the one client who said that they thought I was cool.

As for another client that was usually friendly with me, I was like, him too in a skeptical tone & he said, how can he complain about you when he’s usually not there? Weird!

That’s not true as 2 of my coworkers like me. He’s aware that I’m friends with one of his favorite employees.

Idk if this matters or not, but my boss is openly gay. I’m fine with that. I don’t understand why he hates me so much.

The only reason that I can think of is that one of my old clients has a very big mouth. I made the mistake of telling her a few things about my life that I regret doing.

I thought that she was interested in getting to know me. She wasn’t. She just loves to gossip about everyone.

So all I can think of is that he got upset with me gor that. But to hate me for that is ridiculous.

I’m a good reliable employee. I keep to myself & I don’t bother anyone. I’m quiet & respectful to other people too.

I put up with his crap & abuse for a year. A few months ago I told him to watch his tone & that he needs to start treating me with respect.

He said that he’s my boss & that he can talk to me anyway that he wants to. He then told me that be ‘respects’ me by responding to my 100 texts in a row which is an exaggeration.

He always told everyone tgat he wants us to communicate with him, bit when I dio, he gets irritated at having to deal with anything.

He ignores my texts at times too. Rude. Thankfully there’s two nice managers there that I can contact instead. They both jeed to run things through him though.

I think that he is lying about everyone hating me. Why would he say something like that? He is very rude, mean & unprofessional.

I’d quit if I could find a better f/t job with benefits He cut my o/t hours right after I brought up a legitimate concern to him.

He rudely dismissed me when I told him about being followed by this weird lady at one place. He said it’s not harassment to follow someone around, lol

He also said that he would’ve also been mad at me too if I told him to use headphones . So I’m just supposed to suffer in silence then & listen to awful loud music for 8 hours a day at work then? lol.

Has anyone ever dealt with a mean boss before? If so, how did you deal with things?

Going to H.R probably won’t help at all as the guy in H.R seems like a jerk too. He takes forever to get back to me about anything.

He also complained to my biss tgat I called him to often when I needed an answer for something & it took him days to respond back. Rude! That’s his job, lol

Why is he so nasty & disrespectful towards me? What can I do besides quit?

My therapist said that he doesn’t want to deal with any problems & to not bring up anything to him again unless it’s an emergency.

She is right about what she said. She said that ne doesn’t want to do his job & that he doesn’t want to deal with problems.

He has a massive ego & is always telling people at the meetings how people don’t like him, bit that you have to not take anything personallly to climb the corporate ladder.

Although he hates me, he tried to give me advice about that which was bizarre. He also told me that I reminded him of himself too when he first started working. Weird!

He also accused me of being lazy & that I just sat there a few times when he cane around to the houses. That’s not true.

I was the ONLY person who cleaned a filthy room the day he stopped by to drop off cleaning supplies.

There was cat poo in the room & garbage all over the floor. I cleaned everything but the bathroom as that was to much. I sent him pics too.

Now, how is that being lazy? lol. Most of the employees are lazy. They just sit there & talk loudly on the phone & listen to loud music too. So annoying.

Why is he only being mean to me it seems like? I think the only reason he didn’t fire me is because I’m a driver & there is always a shortage of drivers at this company.

I’m also flexible with what days & hours that I can work too.
