60 days sober and have been around a lot of family...get sucked into their perfect lives and feel worthless. Jealous that they can drink and still be successful whereas I can't touch it or all goes to hell.
Got down on my knees and prayed to whatever God is keeping me sober bc I feel like going downtown main street and hitting a bar. Yesterday I was craving oxys but I threw away the dealers number but started hunting for it. I ate and felt better. I prayed. I just have to make it through today without a drink. I'm stopping future tripping. I'm going to take a shower. That's all I know to do. |

You're absolutely right, you just need to make it through today - minute by minute if necessary.
Do you go to meetings? If so maybe try to hit one today. If not, search the web for recovery resources and read up on them as much as you can. Go for a walk, but don't take any money with you, so you won't be able to stop and buy a drink. Cravings always end, you just have to ride your way through them, and not give in. Easier said than done I know. But coming here and posting shows that you really are committed to recovery. Hang in there. splitimage |

Its a little scary that you have not re posted...I know that feeling of just wanting to drink one more time..I hope you didn't do it.
Yes, eating is a huge help. You know HALT? Hungry, Angry, Lonely and Tired...usually when we want to drink we are one of those things...address them asap...and feel better.
