That was a misdiagnosis, a rather spectacular one.

This is all hypothetical, anyway. If i am being completely honest, i think reincarnation is ********. I just hope it exists, because i certainly want my "soul" to take on some life form again.
Why do you want it to be real though

Hm i think i see where we are differing here. Are you saying that, if i were to reincarnate, i wouldn't be myself and therefore life would be exceedingly worse?

The way i think of it, or hope it to be, is that my "soul" would carry on. And hopefully, my soul contains the thought processes that i use today, which i think would give me an upper hand in almost any circumstance i reincarnate into, relative to others in my same species. If i were to be a butterfly, I would hope my shrewd nature would carry on and allow me to rise to a position of power within the species. Even though i said i will not have the same genes, when people say "you" reincarnate into something, i tend to assume that the "you" aspect is the soul, and i also assume the soul contains the most dominant aspects of the personality, which for me, i like to think is my rational thought process. (Ironic how this is all seemingly irrational )

It is also the feeling of being immortal which i like to fantasize about

I'm saying if you're so content with who you are, why would you be day dreaming about being a butterfly?

I practice living in the now, and don't get caught up worrying about stuff literally out of my lifetime and impossible to prove
Thanks for this!

You are over thinking this. I simply want my soul to carry on and would like to feel immortal. I know that reincarnation most likely does not happen, and i only consider it when people ask me what i believe in, because otherwise i would have no answer. I guess you took my dumbing down of my thoughts for you as indication that i think about this often, which is the farthest from true.

/conversation

What a bore you seem to be. And the way you reply and analyze the thoughts of others leads me to believe you would be a god-awful therapist, so give up on that dream

Exactly. The now is all I have. I focus on the present, dwelling on the past or the future is superfluous.

I don't make long term plans for my future, why would I? Circumstances can change in a heartbeat, I've never understood people who seriously sit there and plan out the next 5+ years of their lives. It doesn't make any sense because of course things always change and they have to redo their plans entirely. Pfft.

Naturally, this way of thinking of mine can make me appear to be drifting through life without purpose, but that is not the case. I simply have a different way of thinking that is contrary to what society teaches people about the concept of time.
Thanks for this!

Information about modern day Satanism can be easily found with a google search, the Church Of Satan's website should pop right up. It's not hard.

Also, I cannot answer your second question because I'm too much of a Grammar Nazi. You were looking for affecting, not effecting.

Again, what do you specifically practice? Or are you saying you follow the exact order of what everyone else does, lol?

And, once more, what effect does it have on your life? Another synonym would be conduct. Another would be direct.

You two and your horrible reading skills..

I too focus on the present. But when an interested non asks me a question, i answer in detail, even if i rarely consider the question being asked.

I feel like i have to dumb down everything i say here for you two to understand.

It's hard to understand posts that contradict each other every response, not to mention you can't even quote so I have no idea what is directed at me. Oh and don't worry about me, I understand everything you say, more-so than you.

What am I supposed to see? You come in here looking for friends, then get upset when the other kids are nice on the first day because they want to see if you're worthy of friendship but start finding pieces they don't like. The only fire I see is your anger burning away at your rationale
Thanks for this!

You cant blame your actions on someone else even if they're the incentive behind it

See if you had actually done what I had instructed you would know that modern day Satanism is not doing what everyone else does, it involves individualism.

It doesn't really affect my life, it's just a label that happens to fit how I think about spirituality.

You're a legend in your mind only, you haven't posted anything here that's remotely interesting or original. I'm not impressed. Also, you can try and insult Matt and myself all day, it won't work. You have no actual power.
Thanks for this!

Please. I think the lack of interest you are feeling is coming from yourself. The only contributions you have made to my posts have been, "OMG, its like reading about myself!! Yeah, me too!! totally!!). Unless it was an elaborate waste of time to try to suck up to me and manipulate me.. tee hee

The only unique information you have contributed has been about Satanism, and you don't even explain it for those on the forum who may be interested.

4,000 posts and nothing to say.. Jeez

No wonder why you hug 150% more than you post. You must be somewhat attractive to compensate, am i wrong?

Hehe yayyy give me a hug stay too long and i may put my finger in your butt!

You just need to know that you are projecting your own boring nature on to me, that is all.

I would hate to leave you ignorant to yourself and thereby making the world a worse place. I am doing a public service.

I do appreciate your relentless attention; do i remind you of daddy, Atypical?

This isn't a place to just sit here and vent and insult other members, "myusername." While psychforums may have been that way, this place is not. "stay too long" and you'll surely see that.

@Atypical:
Is this Motzart, since we already had Shakespeare?

You are entitled to your opinion of me, even if it is remarkably unintelligent and incorrect. You know nothing about me, so there is no way for you to be able to state anything about me as fact. Though the fact that you keep trying is quite telling.

The only way you resemble my father is the fact that you're both quite supercilious with absolutely nothing to back it up.

Mozart is far too excellent of a composer for this particular "case".
