As most of you know I am having a really hard time right now. I feel like sleeping for weeks. Wish I could but still am getting painful stings from those smelly vampire bugs. I feel like I am going to loose my mind. My dishwasher backed up and leaked on my floor. I can't take all this stuff at the same time. I can't even go to group because I have a compensation appt. For VA benefits. I may go inpatient with all this stress but I have to make it through Thursday. This appointment is that important. I may even have to have the caseworker feed my cats. I am a mess and crying and falling apart.

How about a vacation? Can you take an afternoon picnic or go to a movie or something fun?

I'm sorry you are going through so much stress. Whether you go in hospital as an inpatient, or stay out of hospital, I hope you are feeling better soon.

I guess I have too much on my plate at once. I bet if I make if I can make it through Thursday I will be okay. The drain line in my kitchen is getting fixed. There was water all over the kitchen floor. Dishes in the sink from the night before because of the pipe being clogged.

(((Nucking Futz))) - are you obligated to pay for extermination or will the apartment complex pay for getting rid of these bed bugs. I'm sorry you feel so over whelmed. I think you need to move from there, but how does a person avoid taking the bugs with them??

OMG do I feel your pain!!! Not too long ago I had a bed bug infestation. It was horrible to say the least. Down right distressing to me. Your bed is supposed to be your sanctuary and when your being attacked there it not only hurts physically (the extremely itchy and painful bites) it really messes with your head too. I couldn't sleep because I became so paranoid that everything I felt I was sure was a bug. I eventually started sleeping on the couch till it was taken care of.

The process of getting rid of them was just as stressful as the bugs themselves. The exterminator sent a letter of things needed to be done prior to him coming. This included removing all outlet covers, thoroughly washing all floors and washing every article of clothing you own, move all furniture away from the walls and throw out the mattress and box spring. If your like me and can't afford to do that there are these bags you can buy and put on the mattress and box spring.

After 2 visits from the exterminator I am happy to report I have been bug free ((knocks on wood)). Sorry for ranting it was a horrible experience. I hope you are able to sort out your bed bug problem because they SUCK! (no pun intended)

I sincerely wish you luck and love during this hard time you are going through

Oh, Ms Futzie...I am so sorry all this is weighing you down. Honestly, I am impressed with ALL you've had to put up with in that hell hole. I sure do hope all your benefits, meetings and proper paperwork, etc. come together to give you some peace. You need it and deserve it.

I don't think I could handle the bug infestation. Whenever I see a bug, I get very vocal and "declare war". You're at a disadvantage, not only can you not see them, they attack while you're asleep...little bass turds!

Hang on baby girl, it's going to get better! Don't worry if your plate is full, a little oozing onto the tablecloth never hurt anyone!! (yeah, a lame attempt to be funny)

We're here.

Thanks Lynn, Lady and Notz. My caseworker came back from a week off. My attorney said that's probably going to cost her...her job at least because my apartment should have been sprayed already. Atty called the pest control people, my apartment is still not on their schedule! Incredible! More money each day that goes by. My caseworker said I would have to pay the $400.00 bill. Um, I do not think so! This caseworker is clueless! But my atty is not. He did warn me that this case would take a while. So I am kinda having to go with the flow. The couch and love seat also have the evil vampires. But maybe there less on them. I guess I can give it a shot. I am doing better today.

On the lighter side: bet you did not ever thinj there was a lighter side did you? Some statements might be tasteless. None of my bed bugs show signs of bipolar. They drink what I take with every slurp! Could probably change my user name to Lepordgirl. When on a hot date the line is "lets go back to YOUR place" as apposed to MY place. My bedbugs wet dreams would be if I was paralized. If I ever want to become an entimologist, I have a headstart. Compared to bedbugs, fleas are boring. You know the bedbug population is increasing when cons get in on the action by dressing as exterminators and telling people they need to spray and then bill them for hundreds of dollars, you buy stock in anti-histimines and you quite well. Barnimus Collins starts looking like just another bed bug. Back scratchers become really popular gifts. Terrorists start looking at the bed bug as a possible bio weapon. You talk about or write about the bugs, people start scratching (STOP THAT). Hot water feels better than sex.

Dearest (((((((Nuck)))))))))

You've really done the rouds lately haven't you? You are so strong...did I read correctly that your caseworker went on holidays without organising your apt to be sprayed? Is she being paid by the one legged crack *****? I just can't believe what is happening to you! There has to be a book in this! It's just not fair

Bahaha about being paid by the one legged crack *****. Word has it her john's are allergic too. Business is down. I would still rather be infested with bugs I am allergic to than to be a one legged crack ***** who is immune to their bite. Maybe the crack in her blood kills them? Yeah, the atty says my caseworker is key because she went on holiday. It is time to find a new atty who pushes things along. A book...? I am going big screen. It probably will do well at first. Why go back to a movie that has you developing a constant state of looking for bed bugs syndrom. I can use that music produced by plucking violin strings at random. The music they play when they film insects. Hey, maybe make it 3D.-nah, people will start running from the theater. Yeah, new atty is in order. The medicine I have cuts down on the pain, burning and itching but does not prevent bites. This really is a case.

(((((NF))))) Just caught this thread and thought your apt had been sprayed. Ugh!!
Yes, do a film only enlarge the bugs so they look like the godzillas that they are.
What is your atty sitting on? Guess atty isn't sitting on bed bugs. Hmmmmmmmmmm my mean streak suddenly sees a bottle of live bugs visiting atty office---no,you didn't hear that from me
Can you go somewhere for one night just to get a bug-less sleep? Friend? Tent
Hang in there kiddo, we're here for you

I am glad that you can laugh at the situation. I would be going NUTS. I once got head lice from my "precious" preschoolers. The first 2 times I treated my head with the OTC stuff they just kept coming back. So I had get this stuff from the doctor. OMG was it horrid, but killed the bugs. Because the bugs kept coming back every other week (until I used the prescription stuff) I had to clean the entire apartment, all my clothing, my car, everything I touched. My roommate found it very funny, as she was a native of Brazil and apparently head lice is very common there. She decided we/me needed to get head lice at least once a month so our appartment SHINED! I digress. Sorry for the tangent. I bet bed bugs are way worse.

I hope you get out of the situation soon. And your right, its NOT your responisbility to pay for it.

Thanks for that! I am greatful these beasties do not carry diseases. The way I figure, these guys are so nasty, that even germs do not want to have anything to do with them! Called the manager and said the bug guy is coming out to spray tomorrow...yeah! Will let you know how it goes. Have to pretty much dismantle the apartment to get ready for them.

I am still bagging up my clothes. Have to go to doctor tomorrow and told my manager. Letting cats out when I leave with food and water and a big note that says "DO NOT LET CATS BACK IN". Still have to get 2 more switch plates off the walls. I sleep on the couch tonight. They said to move all furniture 3 away from thd wall! Some rooms are so small it isn't possible so I did the best I could. Gonna go finish. They say to give it 7 days for all the bugs to die...scarey!

So I am getting ready for bed (couch). And I am thinking why is all this stuff happening to me now? But everything else is on course except this county organisation. Whenever they have something to do with my life, things turn bad. I thought maybe the universe is telling me to get away from this agency. Amen to that but I have a few more months to go before I get VA housing. I am tempted to even go out and get a minimum wage job just to get through the next few months financially. If I work I am disqualified from receiving VA Compensation. I am living on MHMR housing, food stamps and the good graces of the uarious churches until then.

What is MHMR? If you do find a job, just to get by, would you still be able to get into VA housing? Wishing you luck. Do you have a place to stay while they fumigate for the bugs.

I can get housing if I can get a job. But that means I do not get income from VA and do not know if I can keep a job. Can always try and start over. Thinking about a job freaks me out after all the rejections but will keep trying (have some physical issues as well). I would have to go to someplace like Goodwill just to test the waters.

Hello ((((Nuck))))

Can you get a work from home job? Like get a laptop for working on from the company and work from home? You surely only have to work a few hours a week?

There are jobs available with telecommunications companies from home I'll have a look to see if I can find anything if you let me know what type of work you want to do or are ready to do...

((((hugs))))

I am trying online surveys but they do not pay enough. I was in HR when I worked. I type fast and would accept any assistance available.

Predictable...I still have bugs. I do subscribe to a couple of bed bug boards/forums that have self treating instructions that seem as effective as professionals. The good part is that the bed bug population is declining steadily, I haven't been bit since they sprayed, my apartment has never been cleaner, got rid of all the furniture that had bugs so now my apartment looks very zen. I do not think the bug guys are properly trained to eradicate a bed bug infestation. My allergic reaction to the bites is being treated medically. I still like to torture them as a form of bed bug therapy. I know a lot more about bed bugs than I ever wanted to know! They will all be gone from my home soon. I will take precautions so I can keep my home pest free from now on. But as for the rest of the world, bed bugs are going to be on the rise and it will happen quickly. These are the hardest bugs to get rid of. Now aren't you sorry you asked that question? Bahaha...
