Isn't it something when you are able to recognize it though? Those negatives are easier to banish from your mind when you are knowing what is happening with your body. The doctor may up your meds...it may be your body's way of saying - this isn't working. Good for you to keep on that.

I am proud of you for doing so well with the craft fair/boutique....that in itself is quite an accomplishment and you should be proud of how great you did.

I want to say too - I love the crafts!!! You guys should all see them! We have a talented person here too!! Helpful Reminders For Dealing With Panic Attacks

I wanted to thank you in every way for this. I printed this Yesterday and went to my boyfriends x-mas party. I was so worried that things weren't going to go right and I was going to have to see people I didn't want to see. after reading this over and over to myself . my crazy thoughts slowed down and nothing really mattered. my night was outstanding. Thank you once again.

Wow! From my own personal experiences, I can attest to the effectiveness of these suggestions. I would highly encourage anyone with anxiety to try your suggestions.

I've suffered from anxiety and depression off and on for what now appears like much of my life (37 years and counting!). Only in the last few years have I really made much progress. Hardest is not beating myself up for having anxiety and depression! But although I had encountered many of the anxiety-reducing strategies in my own research, I was unable to actually implement them until I *finally* found an *effective* anti-depressant. (I had tried others in the past, with unsatisfactory results, and didn't really believe I could be helped with medication until I reached the end of my rope emotionally last fall.)

It's not that I am advocating anti-depressants for everyone - far from it. But I was unable to calm myself enough to really practice the anxiety-reducing strategies until the anti-depressants took effect. I am fortunate to have great primary doctors who could not possibly have been more understanding and supportive, taking me seriously.

It's only been a couple of months, and really none of the problems that have brought on anxiety attacks have gone away in any substantial way. But my coping mechanisms are starting to get better. I am feeling much better about myself and my ability to deal with life's problems, which of course do not magically disappear. I've become more accepting that I can't solve all the problems, or even some of the problems, because problems are inherent to life. While I know that it will take a long time to unlearn unproductive thinking and communication habits, and to get better at dealing with the anxieties, I want everyone to know that I already feel 100% better than I did only two months ago.

So ... don't let it get it to you that this process takes a long time, and think that you won't see results in a short time frame. You can feel better, and sooner than you might believe.

Best wishes!

Yes, I was amazed at how 3 weeks after starting Prozac, suddenly everything my therapists had been trying to tell me made send, and I was able to start putting it into effect.
