The anxiety just won't subside! I want to sleep. The thoughts are tormenting me. Talking about it stirs everything up, but keeping it inside is tearing me apart. This panic attack has lasted almost 5 days. Therapy made it worse. None of my anxiety meds are working. I have tried every single coping skill I know and I can't calm down. I tell myself the memories aren't real and that I'm safe now, but I must not be very convincing because I don't feel safe. I'm scared. I don't want to remember anymore. Is there any help for me?

(((((((Can'tStopCrying)))))) I'm really sorry you're going through this. I have had some horrible panic attacks that seem to last for days too. And I know what you mean about none of the coping skills working. In that situation I just kind of grit my teeth and try and ride it out as best I can. It's a really rough and nasty ride though.
But it (the panic attack/period of acute anxiety) WILL end. You WILL feel better again. I know it's hard to believe that when you're in the thick of it, but the anxiety really will subside. Please don't lose hope! ![]() I really hope tomorrow is a better day for you. Sending you much love and many peaceful thoughts ![]()

I'm so sorry you are feeling this way Can't stop Crying. is there anyone that is with you? that maybe can keep u preoccupied?
I remember going to see my Therapist and talking about stuff that I couldn't stand even thinking about. I sometimes would come out of the session feeling worse. Then be in a state for days. But you are doing the right thing by facing your demons and only then can you move forward. I really do hope you get some rest and start feeling better soon |

I saw your post in the depression forum too. I'm sorry you're in this crisis. I know exactly what it's like. What helps me hang on is the knowledge that crises pass. They aren't forever. I have to be told this a lot, but I hope it helps you to hear it also. This will pass.

Can't Stop Crying, I'm sorry you're going through this. Anxiety has done terrible things to my sleep in the past too and now I have to use Trazadone to sleep. I don't have any advice but I want you to know that I'm thinking of you and hope you get some rest tonight.
