I haven't been diagnosed with any form of anxiety yet, but my psych doc definitely knows it's there.

He asked me general questions about what I do in anxious situations. He told me to show him my nails, saw I didn't chew on them, said that was good and asked if I do anything similar.

I bite down on my actual fingers. He said it was the first time he's seen someone who does that. So, I would guess it's weird.. lol

I rub my hands along my legs over and over, I pull at all my fingers over and over..like I'm trying to pop a knuckle. I pull at my hair. My legs shake uncontrollably. I don't mind because in my head it contains the anxiety, at least for a short time, into that act. Annoys the crap out my boyfriend though

Mm, very.

Tastiest finger is the pointer.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who does that. He made me feel a little weird.

I used to be a scratcher and would be semi conscious about my scratching as an alternative I've started cleaning out the undersides of my finger nails by picking out dirt that may not look like it's there but you can somehow feel.
Some other habits I have when I'm anxious are rapid leg movements causing me to look as if I'm vibrating, shaking and twitching (my head twitches the most I'd say), I sweat on the bridge of my nose so I continuously scratch it, and I become very hypersensitive or self aware (I feel my lungs moving in my chest, hear my heartbeat in my ears, and become slightly numb all over when focusing on certain areas)

I pace a lot, scratch at my skin, crack my fingers and wrists, sweat, the runs, blink excessively and such. I don't chew on anything since I have OCD about germs and remaining clean.

Since I was a child, I've picked at my nails, sometimes until they bleed. I play with my hair and avoid eye contact with people when I'm having social anxiety.
