Lately, I have just been getting weirder and weirder. At work, I will be fine, in a great mood...happy and whatnot then all of a sudden I either get really really angry, depressed and somewha suicidal or i get to such a high state of hyperness I can't function. Like my mind wont slow down and I can't concentrate to complete whats at hand. For example....doing a transaction, I might drop stuff, mess up super bad, or like be totally loud and obnoxious. I can't handle all the changes, its so infuriating. One minute, I am happy and the next I have violent thoughts directed toward someone who has done nothing. And, whats worse, I take 450 mg of Wellbutrin XL...but I STILL get really depressed at times. I started cutting again just recently...gah. I am at a loss for words. Any help?!? I'm not sure whats going on with me? lost....help? poss trig. lost....help? poss trig. lost....help? poss trig. lost....help? poss trig. lost....help? poss trig.

Have you tried other SSRIs for depression? Wellbutrin made me have hallucinations, and be quite a mess mood-wise. It's the only anti-depressant that includes a stimulant (I think). Which is a good idea, but I don't think they should be mixed in one pill.

I would say it sounds like you could be bipolar, but since the stimulant in Wellbutrin can make your moods unstable (i.e. causing agitation, hyperactivity, etc) you should probably just try another AD before trying a mood stabilizer...unless you've already tried them all (and I know most people have). lost....help? poss trig.

Hello,

My pdoc lowered my dose and is getting ready to take me off Wellbutrin because of the same things. It does have a kind of stimulant in it and my moods were all over the place. Way up and way down and suicidal thoughts. Different SSRI's do work differently for different people. My suggestion would be to talk to your pdoc about it.

But, yes, I have gone through the same things with Wellbutrin. I often wonder "why am I taking this pill and still feel like this." Sometimes, I'm fine, other times, I'm at the other end of the spectrum. And it really intensifies my anxiety when anxiety is an issue.

Hope that helps.

oh yes....anxiety is an issue. i already had problems with social anxiety but geez not its freakin hell. the only other ad i took was zoloft and it messed me up so bad i was put in a hospital while they switched me to wellbutrin. but now i have to stop goin to my pdoc b/c of insurance reasons and go to a regular doctor, problem is....i dont have a regular doctor. what exactly do i do? pick one close by and then just start goin there....cause my current pdoc will send my info to the new one. i really have no clue. and i definetely dont tell my family N E thing that goes on...im not sure why, but it goes past the cutting. i dont want them to know any bit of my "issues" what now>>?

Sorry I wasn't there for you. We had a meeting at the house which started early and then I went to bed. I hope you made out okay. You can always PM if you want. I ususally am not on during the day because I'm at work. Right now I have a break. Send me a PM if you want.
