I just came from the doctor's for my asthma, it was out of control a couple weeks ago so I had to go to the emergency room but I didn't like how they treated it so went to my doctor the next day and we worked out a different, easier/gentler way to fix it. Now it's totally fine and I'm to wean myself off the little bit of meds I'm on in the next 4-5 days.

I've since been working on my blood pressure. I'm 110 pounds overweight, over 50 and don't want to go on meds since blood pressure is a symptom, not a cause of problems; I want to work on eating better so my weight goes down, work more activity into my day and. . . go back to work on my anxiety. I moved last year and quit therapy and radically changed my lifestyle/job and had a bunch of other "new"/different things in my life. My blood pressure is lots higher at my doctor's office (white coat blood pressure from the stress of being at the doctor's office) but it's also higher than I want it "normally" and I think my lifestyle has a lot to do with that; I don't go out as much, don't meet new people or "do" very much outside the home and think I need to challenge myself more as I lose weight and get involved in exercise-like activities. I want to set goals and "stress" myself a bit more so I become more accustomed and less anxious in the long run as I have some successful, social accomplishments.

I'm looking for ideas. One of my near-immediate goals is to take the 3 boxes of books I have but don't want to the library to donate them. I already once talked to the staff there and they'd love to have them and it's only a mile from my home. But it makes me anxious The doctor's so first I am going to start to go to the library more often and try to get to know some of the staff there so they're more like friends. That's the sort of thing I want to do. I'm a ful-time student but everything is online/correspondence so I don't really have to go out to see/meet people very much. Last week I had to go arrange for my local community college to proctor my exams for a course and afterwards my blood pressure was really low. . . I think because of my sense of accomplishment. I want more of that The doctor's
