Clio19, what self-soothing/calming techniques do you have?

The second half of this article discusses various techniques: Self-Soothing: Calming the Amygdala and Reducing the Effects of Trauma by Karyn Hall, PhD

Stay hydrated too.. I gather you don't have meds, to settle your body down?

Stay in there, dont think about the worst because no matter what you will be fine, go to the bathroom relax and try calm yourself, have lots of water, use breathing techniques and maybe call or text someone close to you to try calm you abit. If this is happening often and things like these simple remedys arnt helping maybe visiting your doctor and getting on some meds or even what I have some 'rescue remedy' drops could help.

I feel for you, you should be on some type of med to help you when this happens. I sufferred from anxiety for years until i found some new meds that the doc prescribed. I know how bad it can feel, but stick in there and deep breathe until it goes away.
Thanks for this!
