I put this in the sleep/dream thread too but i'm wondering if it is anxiety related.
Its nothing new, it comes and goes and I don't know what triggers it. But, I get very tired and decide to go to bed, thinking I will just fall asleep when I hit the pillow. I get in bed, toss and turn for about 30 minutes and finally drift to sleep. Then, I wake up what seems like an hour later, and it's only been 10 minutes. My body is trembling inside and my heartbeat feels like its going insane. I'm wide awake; my teeth hurt from grinding them. My head hurts. It's just intense and horrible. I've tested my blood pressure and pulse; both normal. Could this be like a sort of sleep anxiety?

I would get those. And usually soon after I fell asleep. Get out of bed. Dont just lay there and dwell on it. I like to pace when I get anxiety, helps with the adrenelain, do deep breathing etc. Nocturnal attacks are tough. Hang in there!
