So the past couple days have been really bad, I haven't been sleeping due to "cleaning out" to go on a med for anxiety so I have been basically on the edge of my seat, yelling at my kids and my fiance a lot, but I know it is wrong, I just can't stop it. Anyways, I had this "gripping" attack on Sunday, I was basically on the verge of passing out because my chest was so tight and I was sick to my tummy because it was just rolling(I call it the whoopty do's) anyways I finally just went to a quiet room and tried to relax, finally got calm to the point of functioning and then tried to resume my day. Anyways, yesterday, just a mild one about getting up in the morning, that happens a lot, is this common, for them to be almost back to back? Or is it due to cleaning out and not sleeping, and if so, has anyone felt cold and clammy, this morning as I was trying to rush getting ready for work and get the kids to daycare (wanting to just crawl into a hole and hide) I just all of the sudden got extremely kinda cold sweaty? This has never happened before really. I am new to being able to ask for help for this so anything will do at this point!! Thanks in advance. An interesting (or not so interesting) question An interesting (or not so interesting) question

Hi there An interesting (or not so interesting) question
When I'm having a difficult time, I also have the “almost passing out” spells when I'm in a enclosed store, like a grocery stores for that matters. What exactly do you mean about “cleaning out” I assume you mean by getting off of a medication? Yes medication withdraws does that to people. I cant help but to warn people about not taking tranquilizers (xanax, etc) because the withdraws is a ***** An interesting (or not so interesting) question Yes it makes us feel good but theirs a catch on taking them.

The best way to slow down the anxiety level is to relax your mind. Take a hot/warn bath and just think of somewhere you'd like to be, like inside of a rain forest. If you're out in the open public, practice your breathing, by taking a deep breath and exhaling out the negative and inhaling the positive. Always think on the positive side, DO NOT think of anything negative or the anxiety will come right back, even become worst then what you already feeling.

I hope this works An interesting (or not so interesting) question

Thanks for the advice, I will take all I can get. Yep, stopped a med and now I am just "bouncing off the walls" is how my fiance puts it. An interesting (or not so interesting) question I try to make light but it is so not funny. I am soooooo frustrated and angry that I can't prevent them from happening, which frustrates me even more!!!! I go back to the doc tommarrow and I hope that I am "cleaned out" enough to be put on this new med and get back to being me!!! I want to be me without meds but for right now, I will take what I can get!! Thanks so much for replying!!! Made me feel better!

If you don't mind me asking.. What is this new medication that your doctor is about to put you on? I hope it's NOT a another Benzodiazepine. You may go to http://www.tranx.org.au/benzodiaz.html to read about Benzodiazepines.

It is Seroquel (originally for Bipolar/Schizophrenia) It is sort of a long story about how this came to be. A very LONG story. I have taken Celexa, Elavil, Zoloft, Xanax, it is a vicious cycle but it is soooo hard to explain. I don't have insurance and it is a study for people with anxiety, I am doing what I have to do because it has gotten really bad. That is why I am stuck in a wheel. I don't want to go back on meds, but I have to do something, because right now I am to a point of not functioning. Hard to explain. Sounds like I have no answers huh. I am also working a job that i LOATHE to the very core. I take care of elderly people and I never go to "work" I take care of people, but this one job, shoot, it is a JOB. I am referred to as "the help" She has me scrubbing toilets even though I am only hired for "personal care" and she has a housekeeper, I want to tell her, but I am freaked out about it. An interesting (or not so interesting) question I am just not dealing so fantastic with things and if I handle it now, bad things could happen, because I am not in my right mind, do you understand? Not venting. Just a REALLY bad day. I had to work an extra hour, my son just had to get stitches, and I am going back to a JOB that I despise. An interesting (or not so interesting) question Sorry, your things are much worse, but I feel like all mine has compounded with no sleep. Ugh.

It sounds like the doc should have weaned you from what you were taking rather than have you stop cold turkey!

Answering your question; yes, withdrawals and simple anxiety can do what you have experienced. Hope this new medicine helps you and quickly! Anxiety and panic attacks are NO FUN!

Good luck! An interesting (or not so interesting) question
