I haveanappointment withthe doctor, psychiatric nurse and therapy all in one day on Monday. All that time and they all come at once lol. Findingit a bit difficult to face up to. Therapy is getting quite deep now. I tend to start asking my pdoc questionsabout her-therefore avoiding my issues, does anyone else do this?

I think it's natural when we are uncomfortable talking about deep things that are painful to try to change the subject. It is not unusual for us human beans to do that. Take some deep breathes and give yourself time to focus and think about what you want to say....even when it's difficult. I know you are doing the best you can love.....you WILL do just fine!

thanksso much sabby. I feel so awkward sometimes when I am expected to talk, sometimes I just don't know where to start and then it ends up jumping from onepart of my life to another, I'm trying to do it in order from the start - difficult- mabe I should write it all down again. I wrote my story oncebut it was wiped when my puterwasinfected with a virus.

Great idea to jot things down hon! It doesn't have to be in story form necessarily, but an outline of points you think are important and want to get out there to your T. Make a copy and give it to her so she can look at it with you. Together you can make a plan...not that plans are always engraved in stone, but a start is a good thing A bit nervous......

When so much has happened over so many years, I'm sure that you have tons you want to get off your chest and out into the open.....it's natural to get a little tongue tied and for stories to take on a life of their own. Like I said, you will do just fine!!

I had a traumatic session today and cried all the way through cos of stuff i remembered - i told her something i'm ashamed about that no-one else knows. She made me cry by saying she felt emotional herself about what a lovely person she thinks I am and how I will one day make a very good councellor. I don't take complimentsvery well, but she made me believe it - that takes some doing. She is such an angel, I gave her a littlecard last time I saw her and she says she keeps it where she can always see it along with another survivor of abuse she sees. She is so lovely. Thanks sabby, I will jot down some notes, it's part of my homework from my psych nurse and my pdoc wants some of my poems too!!! I am thinking of writing my story for psych central too.
