Thanks, Kalamity_Jane...sorry about the delay in replying. 'Scuse me a minute...

It's uni work, again - I've got two design projects due in next Monday and I have a lot of work to do for them. We only got given the list of everything we need to hand in a couple of weeks ago (despite the projects having run for most of the semester 'Scuse me a minute...), and apparently I need to do prototypes, documentation of prototypes, presentation drawings, write about my research for the group project, and photocopy pages from my journal because stupid me didn't think to have separate ones for each project. 'Scuse me a minute... (And I need to put all this work in the "correct" order, too.) And on top of that, the lecturer has just given us extra work - as well as finishing off the projects, I also need to find the time to draw and analyse the design of a piece of %#@&#! kitchen equipment! 'Scuse me a minute...

And on top of that I've still got lectures to go to, a business test on Thursday I need to study for, a room inspection coming up on Wednesday so I need to clean my room...and I've got my first exam on May 6th and the second one the following week, so I need to find the time to revise for those, too. 'Scuse me a minute...

I think the extra piece of work the design lecturer gave us was the last straw...I'm calmer now, but I was shaking on the way home. 'Scuse me a minute... I've no idea how I'm going to find the time to get all this done! 'Scuse me a minute...

Do a little plotting/planning. You have practice. It's like the swords people doing their thing back and forth quickly; they don't just have at it, they're trained and so are you.

'Scuse me a minute...

Think of it as a machine with various parts and take it apart and work on each piece. Only worry about that piece until it's done. With a master schedule/plan you fit it all together Sunday night.

((((Rio)))) geez, i can see why your anxiety levels are up, mine shot up just reading it and thinking about it. i'm not gonna pretend there's an easy solution to that one, there's only so many hours in the day.

i can't remember what year you're in...like final year?...but is it possible to get an extension? or perhaps a little bit of help from a student in the next year up if you're not final year?

whatever you have to do...hard as it is...try not to let it stress you out to the point where it affects eating, sleeping etc. and if you can find the time do keep coming here and posting. even if we've no specific advice for you it helps to have a rant when you need to.

take care and good luck.

Thanks, Perna. I was a bit worried about making a list at first because I thought it might make things worse - I'd see everything I had to do at once and panic - but I made one after getting a few things done and it's not quite as long now as it would have been, so it's ok. Still have quite a lot left, but I'm getting there!

((((Kalamity_Jane)))) Thanks...sorry, didn't mean to make you worry as well! 'Scuse me a minute... I know...it's times like this I wish I had the ability to stop time, it'd make things much easier. 'Scuse me a minute...

I'm in first year, actually, so it's only going to get worse from now on. 'Scuse me a minute... Apparently the absolute final deadline for our projects is the Friday afternoon of that week, but I'd much rather get them finished before then so I get more time to revise. I haven't been able to do much studying this week, an hour a day at the most.

Thanks. I've had a couple of late-ish nights - was working until half 10 last night trying to get as much as possible done for the group project, because we had a team meeting today - but it hasn't affected my sleeping any more than my flatmates have! I've decided to stay in halls this weekend, which has taken a bit of the pressure off - I find it easier to work here than at home, so I don't have to get quite as much done during the week. And now the room inspection and the Business test have passed, I don't have to worry about them either.

So I'm feeling a bit more confident...I hate that I'm having to sacrifice revision, but at least I may be able to get the project stuff done on time. Thanks again!

'Scuse me a minute... Working is the last thing I want to do right now. I want to sleep, I want to do this ---> 'Scuse me a minute... - but no! I've got to do my %#@&#! prototype, and then I've got to do yet more paperwork...barely got any sleep last night thanks to my %#@&#! flatmates, and because it's Friday I doubt I'm going to get much sleep tonight either... 'Scuse me a minute...

Wish someone lived nearby could come get you so you could sleep, eat, work, have quiet, comfort, etc. Almost done, then you can crash for half a day or something.

Thanks, Perna. I did actually end up sleeping ok that night...either my flatmates were quiet, or I was so tired I slept through everything. 'Scuse me a minute... Anyway, it's all done now! 'Scuse me a minute... 'Scuse me a minute... Just a couple of weeks' revising, and then I'll be done with the exams as well...can't wait. 'Scuse me a minute...

Thanks, scotty_lee. It sure was! 'Scuse me a minute... Thanks, but it didn't feel small to me...someone said that if you don't get a B or higher in this class, you can't go on and do the Masters course later, and while I don't know if that's true, I'd rather not risk it. 'Scuse me a minute... I worked almost this hard for the last project and still ended up with a C! But it's too late to worry about that now, I guess.
