do any of you.. when just sitting around relaxed around the house.. notice a "flutter" or "skipped beats" in your chest region...
I am not "checking" my pulse or anything.. it just feels odd... strange... uncomfortable..

I would say that you should mention your concerns to your doctor just to be safe. I also get flutters in my chest that feel like skipped beats, it does seems to get worse when my anxiety is higher but sometimes it is unrelated.

Same for me, Freewill.

I think heart palpitations (or 'skpping a beat') is pretty common among all people, but can happen a lot with people with high anxiety. It's not a medical concern unless it should happen very frequently and with accompanying pain.

No ned to worry, but it might be a good idea to talk to your doc about it anyway.

Take care,

Yes, part of anxiety and part of normal everyday life that some people notice and some don't. But you might feel better about it if you have it checked out by your doctor.

I also get an occasional slam-bang of a heartbeat or two. heart beats... ????? gettin' DOWN in there!!! lol

I do, at times it was just the anxiety, but anytime before the end of december it was actually a heart arrhythmia i developed.

I'd talk to your Dr. about it, and maybe have an ECG done. It could be anxiety, it could also be a med's side effect (don't know what if anything you're taking). But you don't want to take chances when it comes to your heart.

Yep, but I have tachycardia that I inherited from my father and grandfather. You should probably have it checked out.

Definately something to bring up with your doctor. I have similiar episodes. I always assumed that it was my blood pressure being high, it turns out that when I had that feeling my blood pressure is actually low. I also have a freaky heart condition, my heart has created its own by passes and for some reason the blood will continue to circulate only through my heart and not the rest of my body. My blood pressure drops, but my pulse goes sky high.
