Does anybody have same problem ?

I am taking Addrall XR 15 Mg for my ADD, but when effect is tapering off afternoon i start feeling irritated, cant stop thinking about same thing over and over. I take Xanax 05 to control my anxiety. Doc prescribed Celexa for this problem but it totally work opposite way to ADD. It alliviates my ADD symptoms and reduces Addrall effect.

Please share your view.

Chaturchand,
I have some anxiety issues especially the "can't stop thinking about the same thing over and over again one" symptom. I get this more when I go off the Adderall for a day or two but usually not when it is wearing off. How have you determined that the symptoms are related to tapering effect of the Adderall? Have you tried taking the Adderall a little later in the morning? Also have you experimented with higher dosage of the XR version or with maybe getting the short acting version and taking it 2x per day? These options may be enough to extend the effect a little bit.

The only other medication I have taken has been Propranalol . This was somewhat helpful for my anxiety symptoms- racing heart, increased muscle tension, feelings of tightness in the chest and throat area. It did not do much for the constant stream of mental noise. As of today, I've decided to d/c the propranalol and simply deal with my anxiety. I have had some success with just simply breathing and body awareness exercises. I've also found that physical exercise has helped a lot with my anxiety. It gives me the much needed personal time and has other brain--neurotransmitter effects as well.
