Recent being the Fall of 2007. That's when I started to see a nurse practitioner for depression. A lot of things that have been going on for most of my life now sort of make sense. I'm 36 going on 10.

Welcome MM,
When I finally talked about my symptoms and then started reading about this disorder it was kind of nice to find out that maybe I was just an evil little hooligan who needed to be firmly taught to sit still. I deserved treatment not discipline.

When ADHD is properly treated, you might even see your depression eventually disappear. It's commonly known with treating professionals that adults who go undiagnosed into adulthood, have other co-morbid diagnosis, commonly depression and anxiety disorders. Many undiagnosed into adulthood end up with alcoholism and even in a jail cell. Don't beat yourself up for not finding it sooner. There are many reasons ADHD goes undiagnosed in many children. I'd just be glad that you found out now, because when your properly treated for the ADHD, you begin to see things in a whole different way. ![]()
