Hello everyone,
Shortly after I signed up on this forum I went away and had no internet but I'm back now..Anyway, as always, I struggle with sticking to a schedule and a while ago I found an online tracker of moods and eating times, bedtime etc, to motivate me to be disciplined, but as I had no internet and I kept everything in a notebook I didn't really stick to it and now I just put all the data in and it shows only a 20% success in keeping the schedule which made me feel worse! Because I know being unruly makes my mood swings worse...and then guilt is added in the mix because I feel responsible for getting worse and it's a vicious cycle.

Especially if other people are involved, I can't be assertive enough to do what I know I should do for myself (for example last night a friend was over and just wouldn't go home and it was way past my bedtime but couldn't say anything even though I was getting in a vile mood and knew the next day would effectively be ruined...)

Hi- I am new to the forums and have only been diagnosed recently with BPD. I have tried a couple of different mood trackers and now have one that I think I can stick with.Since this is all new to me , I am really interested to see what it may show. Its not easy to always stick to a schedule, so if u are sucessful 20% of the time, then that is a start and shows that you can do it. I know that some days it just seems impossible.Just like being a diet you have to forgive yourself and start again the next day.
I can relate to your issue with not being assertive as that is a big problem for me as well. I'm hoping to make some progress in therapy with that.
I hope to chat with u again and I am sending a hug your way.
Thanks for this!

I struggle with that too. I hope you don't have anymore issues with your internet. That is the only way I consistently track my mood.......this is because it sends me reminder e-mails every day!

FYI: BPD stands for Borderline Personality Disorder. BP is for bipolar.

roxiesmom333, you're right, it really is like a diet!
Today is a different day and I will try for the best without beating myself up if I things don't go according to plan..And will do the same tomorrow, and the day after and so on..
blueoctober, the reminder email is indeed necessary, otherwise, even if I do remember to write down everything, I don't bother actually making an effort..Now that I'm back in my 'routine' things should be better!

What site did you find a mood tracker? I need discipline and routine to keep me going. Maybe I need a sponsor, like they do for alcoholics.

emptyshred the one I use it's located at:

http://www.medhelp.org/land/mood-tracker

It's password protected, but you can set it so only you can view it otherwise other members on the site can view it. I really like this tracker and I use the exercise tracker as well. There is also a journal function on it. I hope you like it.
