Hear! Hear! I really need to put a version of this on my fridge.... I completely overcommit in this state to more things than I can handle then when I crash, I am stuck with a schedule that is impossible to follow through with. You'd think would have learned this by now.

Over the last 35 years of living with this "little" problem, I have developed a rather cautious habit. Instead of eagerly agreeing to running with a new idea I am excited about, I tend to shy away from commitment.

Therein lies the one of the less well recognised damaging effects of mania: Low self worth - not because I think I'm worthless or incapable - it comes from achieving far less than I know I can do because I back away from so much, not wanting to be caught with a commitment I can't deliver on at a time of major depression.

So my survival approach has adapted, and I keep my projects short for a good reason:

Note to self: Strike while the iron is hot, and complete it now while you can, for tomorrow you may not be able to.

Another note to self: find a solution to procrastination...

Let me know when you find that solution, I really really could use it.

Note to self: If you know that emails from your boss on Sunday evening are a trigger for anxiety, don't read work emails over the weekend.

Note to self: If your coworkers have a negative attitude towards work, talk to them and tell them it really bothers you and politely ask them to stop.

Note to self. When you find yourself getting angry for no reason, check your meds... you may have forgotten them that morning!

It was this morning! I suddenly realised when I was yelling and screaming aloud in the kitchen, that this isn't normal behaviour. And at that point I looked at my little pill organiser thing, and sure enough.. Monday morning's box was full.

D'oh!

i just get anxiety thinking about work on Sundays

Note to self: When your eyes hurt from playing computer games, it's time to stop playing them

Note to self: You do not have to be perfect all the time. nobody expects this from you and it's not possible so stop being so hard on yourself.

Note to self: It's ok to ask for help from other people. they want to help you.

Note to self: You don't have to try to help everybody else.

Note to self: Things will get better. You are a survivor.

Note to self. When scared silly of what tomorrow has in store, don't stay awake till past three in the morning thinking about it. (Look at my time stamp...)
