Just fun little read for all who have been there and done that...
Note to self.....When you get the reminder call from pdoc about your appointment in the morning....do not write it on the back of your hand when you wash your hands over and over at work. Please add your own "notes to self"...

3 notes to self, I do not have to answer the phone every time it rings, i am entitled to go to the toilet in peace and to relax in the evenings, and when 'friends' keep talking to me about their problems on the phone for an hour or two it is ok to say i need to go after a while!

Notes to self:
Take time to be yourself and realize that you are not your condition and your condition is not who you are. If people like the manic you but could care less about you any other time, they are not friends. Your health and life is more importaint than your job regardless of what the employer thinks (if they want my ups they have to deal with the downs and not expect the normal me to be as energetic and motivated as the manic me). It is ok to fail and it is ok to make mistakes, it is how you recover that shows your character. |

Note to self:
1)Your sister has a huge mouth and ALWAYS tells someone...so stop telling her things!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2) Sprinkle party cake ice cream is amazing ( it has white cake, a swirl of icing and sprinkles in vanilla ice cream)

note to self: just because you have a doctors appointment the following day doesn't mean you have to stay awake the night before in case you sleep in and miss it, only to fall asleep on the bus or tube on the way there and miss the required stop instead.

Note: It's OK to take time out and recharge - appointments are there to be moved out if necessary BP is a rollercoaster - up will follow downs, and downs will follow ups (Just make sure you are wearing your seatbelt!)

When you drive home from work and see the gas light come on don't say I'll get it in the moring Im to tired right now....it never fails you will run late in the morning.

note to self: you don't have to buy everything street sellers offer you just because you feel sorry for them
note to self: If I done my work, I should relax not freak about it some more note to self: Do not react on every manic urge... but not to hold myself back too much either. we don't know what tomorrow will bring and I do not want to regret things I haven't done.

Note to self:
- Make therapy appointments when you feel good because when you feel bad you won't want to make the effort to make an appointment. Asking for help when depressed is one of the hardest things to do. - Sleep is important ![]() - Don't let your friends argue when drunk. Things get out of hand wayyyy fast! Arguments should be discussed rationally and sober. - Use the hypomania for good, not evil (easier said than done, alas!) - Keep a regular schedule and write things down (if you are as forgetful as I am this is imperative!) |

Note to self:
Do not skip meds to go out and party, cos even 1 DAY of NO meds make a huge difference, there's a reason you're on the meds in the first place...

Note to self:
It's not hard to talk your self into depression; think happy thoughts. Think happy thoughts. Repeat process until not depressed. Also, additional notes to self: drink more tea when you start to feel blue.
