I almost don't want to write it, as if that will make it more real, but I'm feeling worse and worse. My pdoc took me off the Seroquel because of side effects, now I'm spiralling. Generally, it's a downward trend, but I get these short, upward spikes of hypomania that just make it all the more uncomfortable.

I've tried so many meds over the last 18 months, that I am ready to give up on all of them. I don't know what to tell my doc now. How do I keep going when it's trial and error, mostly error?

I need encouragement.

i'm sorry that you're having trouble with the meds. it took several months for me to find a combination that "sorta" works. I'm sliding down i'd tell the doc exactly how i feel and i'd be adamant about changes and more help. xoxox pat

Sorry to hear about your troubles...how unpleasant!

I was curious, what meds are you taking now?

Thank you, all.

DJ, I'm now on Lamictal, Topamax, Abilify (and Synthroid.) I see my pdoc tomorrow. I'll report back as to what we do about meds.

Well, I saw my pdoc. We decided to cut out the Topamax, and increase the Lamictal to 300mg.

Interestingly, a friend who is a psych nurse saw me recently and commented that I look overmedicated. I hope that these changes make the difference that I need.

I hope things start working for you...I go to see my p-npr tomorrow, I'm curious to see what she'll do...I just got up to 100 mg on Lamictal to go with my lithium (1800mg). I don't have any real issues med-wise I don't think, but we'll see!
