i am in a psych ward and realised i can use my phone to check psych forums.
it is all out of my control and the doctors have told me to stop trying to control everything. like my meds
the amount of meds the type of help, the length of stay.
Been here 2 weeks so far and i am getting really tired physically mentally and emotionally.
the church pastor come around to the hospital today and being able to speak to her helped.
any advice to make my time go quicker?

Sleep and rest. I think the forums at least give you some socialization

Do you have any apps for downloading books- from Amazon or Barnes & Noble... or maybe a different place? Reading really helped me to get through my last IP. I also knew a woman who could crochet and knit. She made hat and bootie sets for the newborns in the hospitals and for charities. If there are any hardcopy books you really want to read, is there anyone who could take a trip to the library for you?

Just a couple of little ideas.

I agree reading is a helpful way to pass the time. Also maybe get to know the people on the floor that always made time fly for me just to have some people to talk to is always good. I'm surprised they let you keep your phone they would never do that for me. So it sounds like your not in hardcore lockdown will they let you leave for a Hal an hour or so?

Get put into the "Quiet Room", pull a button off of your shirt, close your eyes, throw the button into the air and let it drop onto the floor, keep your eyes closed and search for the button, when you find it, repeat directions.
