Why am I so ANGRY?

ITA. Mental health providers need to understand what comes w/ there jobs. Side effects are not always convenient
for their schedules ---no well.

I had REALLY bad anger while on lamictal and Risperdal (alone). I called my pdoc ASAP. My mania started. I was having thoughts drinking reckless (never did before). I was seen as a walkin a few hours later.

Sounds like you have a very good psych team, mine not so much. I have already put in another call first thing this morning still nothing!!!

So I thought I was doing better but my kids are home sick today from school. They have called me out on having a bad attitude saying I am being mean. I didnt even realize I was still being mean. WTF is going on?

My T finally called back I go in tomorrow. She doesnt want to prescribe anything like a benzo due to my history of addiction. I'd say give me something so I dont hurt someone one of these days.

I fully agree! but since she wont give you benzos and high-fiving someone in the face isnt your style... How bout getting some valerian root? Venus uses it, and it seems to help her. I'm actually gonna check it out too...

I told them that my mother in law gave me the smallest dose of valium that they make and that it did work. It did calm me down with out f*cking me up so to speak. They are so worried that i am going to start with addiction again. Anyways I am so tired of that label following me. I am not so sure it was even an accurate label to begin with. I went into a mental/rehab center for suicide attempt and left there labeled an addict because i overdosed on xanax and lortab. Did i ever mis use them yes at times I did. Did i ever go out and buy drugs that were not prescribed to me no i didnt. I had my own prescriptions and that was it. I am so pissed off that this place labeled me an addict and now i can not have medicstion that i need because of it.

Wow (a dejected wow, not an amazed one) is there nothing you can do to have that label scraped off your good name? Pdoc's chop and change our dx's at will, so should there not be a way for us to get rid of 1 that does not fit?

I read somewhere that valerian root is sometimes used by pdocs when weaning patients off benzos, as it targets the same receptor in the brain...

I have called a new pdocs office today and asked them to mail me paperwork. I am tired of the wait and seek game with this pdoc and t. Last time I had and emergency call in to them on a Friday morning they called me back the next Friday. Yes...7 days later. And they did nothing even then. I am just T totally fed up with them. I am going to go off tomorrow when I am in there because, oh yes my anger is still resignating. I am not an angry person but right now I am one pissed off little momma! My kids are noticing and thats unacceptable and they dont want to do anything about it, im sorry but I was under the impression that it was their job to try and fix me when Im broken.

Now THAT is an appropriate direction in which to direct the anger that THEIR meds have caused, and which THEY are refusing to address! I'm glad you're getting a new pdoc, no point in having useless service providers. I mean, would your pdoc keep on a domestic worker who didnt clean?... I think not. 7 days is a putrid level of service, makes me wonder why they get into this field at all...

Exactly my sentiment. Thats why I waited. I was in extreme need of care the day that I called, but when they didnt call back I had to go the weekend without help. So by the time Monday rolled around I figured they would call and when they didnt I figured I would just see how long it would take and it took a whole week. That was when I figured out how important my mental care actually is to them. I feel like a big "0" and I should not have to feel that way this man makes what 300 dollars everytime I walk through his door. He should care about me, I help pay his damn bills.

Me too, in a bad way. It also made me obsessed with suicidal thoughts and plans, which was weird for me.

Geez, Moremi I'm sorry it's so bad. I hope you feel better soon. It's got to be med related if it's unusual for you. Sorry if I missed anything, I skimmed over fast cuz my brain is mush-ola.

Ok...so I get online to look up one of the new meds the PDOC put me on a couple of weeks ago for sleep. Doxepin and it specifically says on there Do not take if you are bipolar or have sleep apnea. Why would my pdoc prescribe me this drug? I CANT UNDERSTAND THIS????? This could very easily be where the anger is coming from. The new pdoc office called me back today and they are sending me paperwoek for intake. I cant wait to be done with Southwestern Indiana Mental healthcare.

It is definately the Abilify. I took it this morning and just a few minutes out of the blue. I starting feeling rage again. I havent taken the Doxepin in a couple days so its not that. I am done with the Abilify for sure I cant stand this feeling. Its just awful. Sorry if I seem absent from the boards today I am trying not to bust my computer in half right now.....

I get like this too, if im not angry or anxious then im depressed. God must love me right?

I have felt that way before, Effexor made me want to punch through a wall, when i wasnt laughing and crying at the same time.

Some meds...just aint right.
