I have been diagnosed with several mental and physical ailments, including bipolar. My Grandma had a severe form of it and it took it's toll on the family. I wonder how much of a toll my problems have taken. The fact most of my family has kept their distance and I get very few calls from any of them, including my kids, gives me my answers I guess. If not for this forum I wouldn't have anyone to talk to. I try to stay optimistic but it's increasingly difficult. I also have Borderline Personality and PTSD, along with fibromyalgia and arthritis throughout my spine and hips. I am 46 and feel 106. At 35 I worked 70 physical hours a week, then everything hit virtually at the same time.

I'm sorry to hear of your troubles. I hope things get better for you soon. Those joint problems are tough to deal with without mental issues. I wish you te best of luck and a happy holiday.

Thank you for you support. There are some good days and quite a few bad ones. I am going through a tough transition in housing right now. My parents have been married 9 times between them, so my family situation is laughable. I never really knew my Dad until I was in my 30's, so I have two half brothers I haven't met. Fortunately there are websites like this one where people don't judge, just support one another. Some of my physical problems stem from the fact I used to be very athletic and have had several sports injuries. I broke my back skateboarding as a kid, then again in a Tae Kwon Do competition. Add to that half a dozen broken fingers from basketball. So I would hurt either way, it's just worse when depression takes over one's life. We all have our own stories to tell, they are all interesting.
