Only somewhat I guess because the whole time I knew I was crazy and what I was experiencing was not part of our agreed upon reality but, hadn't any power to stop it. It's a strange experience to know something is entirely crazy but believe it anyway. It only happens when my mood gets really bad either way with or without the aid of medications but, I can still manage to portray a functional person when like that.

I only slept 4 hours myself but slept 12 the night before so probably will sleep 12 tonight and 4 tomorrow. I'm on my every other day pattern now it seems.

Yeah mine was terrifying. I don't want to repost it here, (I'm on a Kindle it will mess it up) but it is over on the silver linings playbook thread. If anybody is interested.

I've neve had psychosis. I'm currently on Seroquel, which I guess is supposed to prevent psychotic episodes. Sometime I do question if something really happened or just imagined it. Not sure if that counts.

I have bp I w. psychosis. I'm going to talk to T about it on Wednesday because I don't think I've ever had psychosis non-med induced. So we'll see. I've been living off 3-4 broken hours of sleep sense the beginning of the new year.

I'm used to it. I could have used a change of underwear while I was locked up though. I got tired of washing my underwear all the time.

I know I hate the AP's too. But for now I need them. I told myself do what pdocs say for a yr. No messing with meds. I started to but I'm back on 3mgs of risperdal a day. I'm trying so hard to mainly eat salads and fruit. I crave carbs and sugar so strong. It sucks I truly do understand. Sometimes pdocs piss me off. Like I said though for now I'm following orders.

Me also. But not in the whole time I've been unmedicated. My experience was similar to cocoa's though, I knew that wasn't the agreed upon reality, I knew there was not really 4 me's and that 1 of them wasn't really trying to off me.

Was not so much scary as it was tiring and distressing.
Any idea how hard it is to contribute to a departmental meeting or have even just a simple convo when someone's screaming "Die useless biyotch" at the top of there lungs?

Yeah it was tiring alright.

I slept about 8 hrs. I worry any u Newtus not getting enough sleep. I know when it's been days and I haven't had enough sleep I feel awful. What abt taking a AP that doesn't have the weight gain side effect? Like latuda or Geodon I've been on both and didn't gain any weight on them. They did give me TD side effects but you can take congentin for that.

latuda made me gain weight.
the hospital doctor couldnt believe it.
but it did. when i was taking it i gained 5 pounds when i was there.
i mean overall the time i took it it wasnt much weight but i wasnt about to keep testing it.
but the reason i got off it was because i had worsening of hallucinations. hallucinations outside my head 24/7 for about 3-4 days.

got about 6 hours sleep last night.

geodon never worked for me in any way.

That's a failing on there part of your dr's not you. I know the more my dr.'s say the word hospitalization the less I trust them. My current team will not hospitalize me until all parties feel I will not survive the night / weekend even with my husband's watchful eye. I just forget that a lot.

yea i trust them less. i only see a psychiatrist though. i have no team. or anyone else. i WAS seeing a seperate therapist a month ago. but i only went 4 times because TWO of those times she wanted to hospitalize me immediately for suicidal thoughts and then homicidal thoughts.

but idk.
i only live with my dad. and he is mostly antipsychiatry. which isnt a bad thing. but idk if i am well or not many times. both my parents are antipsychiatry. which i think helped me not get the help i wanted during my teen years. my mother more-so anti. she thinks my voices are ghosts or my past life. my dad thinks my paranoia about people and the government are pretty justified and other stuff i wont go into deep detail. and i mean i dont disagree with them but then doctors tell me i am not functioning at all and how i shouldnt be picked up by the police so much. my life is extremely confusing for me. idk what to think of myself really.

I guess I've been lucky.......only had psychosis once, and that was when I was on Wellbutrin. I didn't know I was psychotic, all I remember is being completely paranoid and full of rage. But my pdoc said that was considered psychosis, so it's on my medical record as a reaction to WB. Oh goody.

I have been plagued by bouts of paranoia at times throughout my life, though. Is that also considered psychosis? I know it's not reality, but I get nervous if a car follows me for more than a few miles or people get quiet around me.
