I know it's bad to say or think but I wish it lasted longer than a few days. Sometimes I'll get a week out of it but usually a few days at a time. And I start stuff but then don't finish it (hmmm, classic behavior huh? Lol).

I got half of my house spotless and the other half...well not so much. And I let the part I spent hours cleaning get messy again.

Frustrating.

Oh this is familiar! I get hypomanic sometimes and...it doesn't usually last long enough to get things Done---then...just as you describe. I did once clean an entire house top to bottom in three days---I think of that and wonder if I could do that again---just one more time---but this house needs a couple of weeks...

I am so with you. I had my first manic adventure last February-May. It was the happiest I have been in YEARS! I did spend $$, came close to killing myself x3 (over-confident superwoman...no boundaries) I'm in sales, so you can imagine what it did for my confidence. (damn I wish I had cleaned my house) However the big D was not far behind...the lowest I have been ever! (overdoses, hospitals, no friends left) Most of us know the drill.

I DREAM about another happy episode (in a messy house) a long with you!

stabilized..not happy...

My hypomania usually doesn't even last for an entire day. On the plus side it has been happening more often recently.

I had my first hypomanic episode over the summer. I also tried to clean my house but i completely over did it because I ended up stealing stuff from my family that wasn't mine and my organization method was to put everything in different bags and drawers. When i recovered, I couldn't remember where I put anything. So actually it didn't really help me with that aspect. However, it was the happiest I ever felt in my life but now it doesn't mean as much to me because I know in some sense it wasn't completely real.

I know the feeling, but, boy, when it's gone, the fatigue....whew! I think the electrical system just needs a good workout in hypomania and when it has had enough, it just lets us fall, splat, regardless of what we're doing! (I really believe that's why I'm wearing a pacemaker now.)

Forget the hypomania; enjoy the contentment of being at peace; it's wonderful.

I interrupted my housecleaning today to check in for a little restful talk. Time to
get back on the job. We'll all sleep well tonight, I think.

I guess that's what I've been going through. I feel depressed after a few weeks of having energy to do everything. The last few days I couldn't seem ti get anything done. I get quick mood changes though. I don't think my psychiatrist knew what to diagnose me as when it just says major depression. I dont sleep much and I have never been this up and down that I can remember.

Are you on meds, Kelly? That will help a lot, in my view. It's really a
chemistry imbalance for many of us and that's what the medications are
targeted to correct. Please give yourself time and get the rest you
need after so much activity.

If you need a sleep aid for a short time, please ask your psychiatrist
to tweak your meds, adding a good one. The rest is so important.

Thanks for you message; good to see you posting.
